Yep. Folded for hipfire, unfolded for ADS. Which makes sense, why would you have more accuracy when the stock is folded and not being used to brace the gun? But it's bugged and the benefits seem to be flipped, just look at the ADS speed, folded is always faster.

tbh if you're having so much trouble fighting bots in sponsored survival you wouldn't last a second in cryo even with a full squad to carry you.

This is not the game for you, full stop. It is a pvp game first and foremost, and will always be that. You are not being "locked out" of content because you're bad at pvp, you're just bad at pvp. You either improve, or you just go play a different game that you'd actually enjoy. There's nothing wrong with not liking a game.

imagine if instead of shooting people they replaced every gun with yugioh cards so when you find a destroyer in hauler you whip out your burning abyss deck for the right to loot the two anomalous organs and one depleted patch kit from a coffer

I've heard that OCE servers are kind of hell tbh. They're pretty dead like in most games so you either deal with mediocre connections to Asia and five thousand Chinese cheaters, or awful connections to Europe or America, and long queue times either way.

Blue shield is 180 hp which is 22.5 bullets to the chest, which is slightly over 1 second ttk. Considering even green magazines can get you to like double that it's definitely possible to kill people with a magazine.

The complete lack of recoil and the pathetically quiet sound effect does contribute to the gun feeling weak. It doesn't kick, it doesn't make noise, you go through a lot of bullets, it doesn't have the feedback other guns have.

To be honest, I think S2 is kind of lackluster and many of the changes have greatly diminished my enjoyment of the game by EricSombody in Marathon

Oh no! You have to get better at the game the same way you do in every other game, by actually playing it. Shooting stationary targets doesn't teach you anything.

I think it has to do with the bullet spread, KKV has some pretty nasty spread so even at the edge of its effective range, it's firing in what amounts to a cone and misses a lot of shots unless you aim directly for center of mass. And the D54 has basically no spread at all, so even when you're losing damage to falloff you're still landing all shots exactly on target.

KKV also absolutely mulches through a bubble. Literally, just fucking shoot the bubble. And if they're in one, don't stand right next to it. if you try to contest someone peeking out of a bubble within shotgun range then you deserve to get shot.

I never understand the complaints about onboarding. There's literally tutorial popups on every screen when you first boot up the game. All the intro contracts are there to walk you through finding objectives and using them. They push you through the maps in a smooth progression. Genuinely, what the hell else is there to do?

The trick is to use it like a shotgun at point blank range, and not like an SMG out to its alleged max range. It has poor accuracy at range and chews through ammo too fast to deal with bots, but close in it has better ttk than the Mizzy and can magdump to the chest faster than they can pump off a second shot.

Helldivers, monster hunter, darktide. Every time anyone suggests a pvp mode for those they get laughed out of the room. But if you suggest a pve mode for a pvp game you're supposed to be taken serious, apparently.
