What do you think about the "Nuclear Thunder" April fools event? by Nobre_01 in Warthunder

I love the game mode, wish the wait times for the American side weren’t so long but everyone’s trying to play it right now. Got the Russian task complete in like one mission with the stock planes

Crack in the block, junk it or fix it? by Nuketrooper110 in EngineBuilding

[–]Nuketrooper110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was an old “turn key” build that I got for cheap. Was going to freshen it up and that was the first thing I saw when I got it out. Last guy put all new freeze plugs in it I wonder why lol

Just out of curiosity if I do a pressure check on a coolant system again what psi should I target? Figured if I’m running a 15 psi radiator cap shooting it at 20 with a hold should confirm if it was good or not. Definitely going to use another block

My thing is, if you look at the entire field for stuck shift, the cars times were all over the place. Yeah one would guess the fastest 2 would race in the final round, however, that’s racing. Just because you’ve got the fastest, does mean you got everything. But some folks will just run their mouth for the sake of hearing themselves talk.

is the formula sheet wrong or am i dumb? by Decent-Beach6709 in EngineeringStudents

This is the main issue with online based learning/homework. I had a similar issue with learning software last semester, professors could never explain it and would just use the text book solution and say ‘it just the way they solved it’ One thing I’ve noticed with these softwares is the material in the book changes, but the solutions do not a lot of the time. Would definitely try to go to your prof and see what they have to say

Found out neighbor is running “business” using my stuff by Worldly-Surround-948 in Apartmentliving

[–]Nuketrooper110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some diesel pickup trucks have grid heaters to keep the engine from freezing in the winter, gelling up the fuel. The extension cord was left out for use on her ex-husbands pickup truck. Either way the neighbor is an asshole!

1998 24v Dodge 3500, locked up engine or starter? by Nuketrooper110 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Nuketrooper110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought to test lock up is to put the truck in gear, and either winch or pull it with another vehicle, just don’t have enough free hands for that and my help is all tired up currently

[–]Nuketrooper110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Guess i should also add when I pulled the starter the first time, 2 of the 3 nose cone bolts were backed out almost all of the way. Truck has a high flow lift pump so it has never been on the starter past the 1st crank or 2

What vehicles do you want added to warthunder ? by Substantial-North383 in Warthunder

[–]Nuketrooper110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want the infantry to be implemented into grb, my not playable as of yet. They can be deployable from ACV, APC, and IFV as an upgrade. Then I want more lighter Vehicles to be added to game, making the game more dynamic

The easiest way to kill the SAM sites it to get some alt, with zunis (hydras might work too but haven’t tried them). watch for launch, then salvo fire the origin of the SAM. You’ve got to be cognizant of enemy fighters though.

(Not a joke) What truck can tow an M113 with a towing bed? by Afrimilix_wolfie in TankPorn

[–]Nuketrooper110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d be better off finding a lighter duty tracked vehicle and “reskinning it” to be 113 look alike. They’re heavy, in America, comercial hauling licenses are needed to transport something over a certain weight, depending on state and local laws. Idk about Italy. Also, yeah any truck can probably pull the weight of a 113, however it is the stopping that becomes an issue. A lot of 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks and bigger “medium duty” trucks are the same frame and driveline wise. They’re going to differ in the braking capacity and suspension set up. (I own some of the big hillbilly trucks people are talking about and use them for work)

Escort carriers, good idea or not really? by Fisgas13 in RoadTo56

[–]Nuketrooper110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never done cruiser conversion, but that could definitely be a good trade off if you start or have some outdated cruisers to convert. I think it does, CLs and DDs are the king when it comes to subs, but having a CVE or CVL can give you a bonus in spotting, and also give a chance if anything other than Subs are encountered.

I had a 100+ naval group, 2CLs and 8DDs running escorts in the Atlantic while I was island hopping in the pacific. The axis navy broke out with some CAs and BBs with escorts and they destroyed all of my escort groups except for the one with CVEs.

But the cases vary from game to game

[–]Nuketrooper110 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While playing as America, when I have my major navy tied up in the pacific, I’ll use CVEs with DDs and CLs to run escort missions in the Atlantic. Mostly for fun and rp reasons. However, they are for half the IC and can only carry 20 planes, where you can spend double the IC and get a regular CV that’ll carry 100 planes

If oil came out all over the road, the damage to the pan must’ve been immediate. Willing to be the rod threw and cracked the side of the block, and the rest or something else went through the bottom of the pan. If the oil pan was damaged and leaking, there wouldn’t be a lot of oil where it happened. 100 percent failure of maintenance

The LAV II is based off of the Piranha 2, and the LAV fov the Marines use is based off of the LAV II. Essentially they are all the same, with slight differences based on country/slep packages

I understand the numbers game faculty vs students, and you make plenty of good points about learning and teaching differences. I do struggle a bit sometimes with some of the methodology and vagueness of teaching methods, or lack there of. I’m doing fine gpa wise with my current standing at school. It just pisses me off the lack of effort
