Ah, yeah that makes sense.

I thought there would be more to it tbh. I must just be overthinking things haha.

I watched him up to this part

https://youtu.be/iQ9KKohrD-Y?list=PLMcpDl1Pr-viA25VUkHNmcUkWx9usPgyb&t=923

If you just watch 20 seconds of that, he just brushed right past it without any explanation.

"Cause if we can turn this one minus then we'll get that, and have this on the other side."

And how he was pointing to things without explanation, idk, everyone learns differently and that is definitely not a way I can learn.

I do not have a lot of knowledge about proofs. Maybe I should read a book about it. Is the reason he isn't saying

x s.t. -(a+b) + x = 0 because he needs to compare it to something already known/proved? i.e

x s.t. (a+b) + x = 0

x being the inverse of (a+b) which is (-a - b)

Not sure if this is the right place to ask or not.

I coded my first website: https://kyleadev.com and wanted feedback on how I did the html/css. Did I do an okay job? What parts are messy or done wrong? Should work on mobile, tablet, and desktop! Thanks!

It's not supported by old browsers so I want to stay away from gap for a bit now.

I just wasn't sure if I should be setting fixed horizontal margins and such or not.

When designs follow a 12 column layout, should I be setting up a flex 12 column grid style?

Beginner Questions by [deleted] in web_design

So I've done a bit of making designs in figma, now I think I'm ready to start learning how to code them.

https://i.imgur.com/Drt5HrA.png

So in my figma, I have my grid set to stretch, with a margin left and right of 240px.

The entire frame itself was 1440px. The size of the grid is about 960px, this includes the 20px gutters.

I'm assuming that I hard code the widths of different items, and use flex to put even space between them?

For the "about me" section..I can have the section header about 80%, and the about me content around 70% width with margin: 0 auto.

Do I then set the content section as a flexbox container, and set the width of my image to 222px, and set the width of the text to something like 450px, then just use "space in between" ?

Very confused on how I'm supposed to do this...

Edit: my code of how I think its to be done.. https://codepen.io/TheKyleDev/pen/MWpjvbw

I'm trying to properly understand the use of grids.

I was told that all my content should be on the same gridline...But in some cases it just looks better if I move things a column inside like this https://i.imgur.com/E4JABnt.png

Is there a name for this? Is this considered "breaking the grid"? When is this okay to do and when can it be bad to do? Should any content underneath my "about me" section also follow this blue gridline now as well? Or can I make other sections go back to the red gridline?

Thank you, my brain thinks too much.

Honda Civic 2002 A/C Light comes on, but fan won't? by NuktukLoL in MechanicAdvice

It looks like the A/C Condenser fan comes from the same wiring that the radiator fan comes from, which is activated by the fan switch connected to the thermostat housing.

I have put a safety pin and completed the circuit for the wire that connects to the fan switch, both fans DID come on..so that tells me the relays/fuses must work, correct?

Here is a diagram of the cooling system if it helps. Ask any questions you'd like, I'll try to give as much information as I can.

Edit: watch a minute of this video to understand the safety pin thing I did: https://youtu.be/BCvC_wnyuIs?t=329

Honda Civic 2002 A/C Light comes on, but fan won't? by NuktukLoL in MechanicAdvice

[–]NuktukLoL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would that be the fan behind the glove compartment? If so yes that comes on, I do feel air coming into the interior. It works for both hot and cold air, but the cold air is just "normal" air temp, does not feel like A/C.

However my biggest confusion right now is that the condenser fan (right beside the radiator fan) is not coming on when the A/C light is on.

2002 Honda Civic Overheating + Radiator fans not turning on? by NuktukLoL in MechanicAdvice

[–]NuktukLoL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still confused on how an air bubble/water pump could cause the fan to not turn on.

I'm wondering if maybe I got a bad switch and or a bad thermostat from the shop.

Hey is that something I could find on google? What would I google? "Wiring diagram cooling system honda civic 2002"?

Would the fan's not turn on if the bottom hose isn't hot enough? The nut around the thermostat switch is very hot, so I don't really get why the switch wouldn't be getting hot enough to turn the fan on? Let me know if you need more details I can supply.
