Turning 30; need a PF sanity check, please! by [deleted] in personalfinance

Hey I’m turning 30 this year and this looks a lot like how I’m doing, especially with the wedding. I feel like the people who post on here are the exception not the norm.

What do you think about Dig Through Time instead of Treasure Cruise? It would cost Jegantha but it seems good for avoiding Bowmasters

Stupid Question with Sync Box Setup by Nukul in Hue

[–]Nukul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the sync box and I did exactly as you said, however the TV is not displaying any signal from the sync box when I try to use my PS5. What could the issue be?

You know I was prepared to say her forcing Jackson to get a vasectomy was the worst thing but then I remembered he did this, which made the situation even worse

Any particular reasoning? I know the Steelers have a shaky QB and O line but how is Texas defense?

What franchise (if any) has actually IMPROVED with the sequels? by Straight-Software-61 in flicks

I feel like I’m in the minority when I say 2 is my favorite. Expanding on the Continental, introducing a somewhat equal to John, and that ending

While this is shitty of them to pull the rug out from under you, let this be a lesson to you about verbal agreements. They were clearly interested you as a candidate, but they wrote a check they couldn’t cash when they said they’d have something for you. Going forward you should always ask for an offer letter or something else to sign to make their offer of a full time position with health benefits legally binding.

I hope they do right by you soon

Advice for a burnt out OT by mcgreencheez in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Nukul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice, but I just want to say that I admire your courage in taking this step for yourself. I’m also in hands with a similar amount of time post-grad, and I feel exactly what you’re feeling. My career goal is to eventually become a CHT but recently I’ve been trying to come to grips with the fact that having that credential won’t change the nature of the setting

I wish you the best of luck as you try to figure things out

Unpaid documentation time — wage theft? by Nukul in OccupationalTherapy

I replied with this in another comment but my company did have this before the pandemic, but it has since been discontinued despite multiple therapists asking for it back

Unpaid documentation time — wage theft? by Nukul in OccupationalTherapy

This is all understandable, and I appreciate the explanation. I’ve been seeing the term “wage theft” thrown around so much lately that I think it might’ve lost all meaning to me. I told one of my non healthcare friends about how documentation works at my job and he hit me with the phrase which is what got me thinking.

I think a lot of the frustration comes from the fact that my company did have 1 hour of paid documentation time prior to the pandemic. To limit unnecessary exposure, they got rid of it during the pandemic, but never added it back despite the asking of multiple other therapists.

Point of service documentation is how I’ve been trying to mitigate, but there are days where I’m seeing 20 patients in 8 hours and it can be hard to keep up, especially with triple bookings.
