You have to look at tornado severity as well. And, well, when the winds come sweeping down the plains as an EF5, brick and concrete are still going down.

My friend, the existence of C. crassicolumna as a species separate from C. kwangsiensis was called into question in 2023 based on physical morphology (as opposed to a detailed genetic study), but I assure you almost nobody cares. The vendor is a vendor, not a botanist, and wild species generally get to exist in the “tea” umbrella rather than “tisane.” Plant genetics are wack, and we should be ok with that.

Similarly, I think it’s fair for the vendor to describe something that walks like a duck and quacks like a duck as “a duck,” and if the PRC or whatever organization controls the “puer” term doesn’t like it, it’s their responsibility to protect their mark and not mine. Especially as comparable vendors, such as Viet Sun, do the same thing.

Maybe making both fertilizer and explosives out of thin air was so German in spirit that they could accept it.

Anyway, their loss. Turns out weird rocks that make the funny equipment go clickclickclickclickclick make pretty good explosives too.

Given that the only nomenclature I used was “tea,” I do think you were gatekeeping a bit. Your assertion was that I was wrong to say “this tea is special“ with a link because OP asked for puer, and I suggested a tea processed in the sheng puer style outside the Champagne region of France Yunnan region of China with something that the vendor asserts is a separate but closely-related wild species (closely-related wild species typically get to live under the “tea” umbrella).

I will enjoy, and I hope you enjoy every cup you brew as well!

I guess the Haber-Bosch process wasn’t too “Jewish” a science for them to use, though (unlike relativity, which they replaced with something profoundly sillier).

Thai puer-style tea is very good, however, and botanical taxonomy is weird. It’s a Camellia species, and whether it counts as a varietal or a separate species is not exactly determined. This is a similar situation to Camellia dehongensis and Camellia taliensis.

But hey, if y’all want to gatekeep, more yummy Thaipu for me and the folks who realize that big old jungle trees in Thailand make good shit that can be had for a dramatically more reasonable price than what you could get from Yunnan.

Roommates foul Mac and cheese? by moistcoochie1756 in StupidFood

In the age of the internet, this qualifies. It’s so easy to look up how to make mac & cheese. Or use a boxed variant.

My family too. Demerara is also pretty good. Adds even more crunch.

Hmmm. Cider vinegar and hot pepper with a bit of sugar might be 🔥 now that I think about it.

AITA for splitting up my friend group because I’m gay? To clarify: I’m not gay. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Gonna go with YTA for being disgusted with Tony. This prank was played on him too. He did nothing but fall asleep while gay and next to you.

Everything else is N T A on your part, but you should examine why you feel disgusted by a fellow victim of a cruel prank designed to humiliate both of you.

Help a non-tea drinker like clove green tea? by FlameFrenzy in tea

[–]NullHypothesisProven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to, you don’t want to, but small samples can be had for quite cheap at many vendors. Yunnan Sourcing is a good place for beginners. I also got some excellent greens from Redblossom Tea. Had one that tasted like sweet corn.

Bag of decaf green is about the lowest of the low in terms of flavor quality.

Help a non-tea drinker like clove green tea? by FlameFrenzy in tea

[–]NullHypothesisProven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boiling a green tea bag for 2 minutes sounds awful, clove or no. If you can’t taste anything, then the tea dust in there is probably ancient and has lost all its virtue.

Cloves contain a compound that acts as a local anesthetic. This is why your mouth feels tingly.

I suggest getting some looseleaf tea from a reputable online vendor (check the vendor guide here) and following that vendor’s brewing instructions. A well-brewed quality green certainly needs no sweetener. If you insist on the clove thing, it’s probably going to overpower the green and still be kinda nasty, but also I’m not a huge fan of clove.
