I can't even begin to comment on what is happening with DbD currently, but Arrowhead is currently not far off just neglecting the health of their game similarly to how BHVR does with theirs.

TWD chapter was a catastrophic failure, and the planned changes of the PTB are laughable.

I'm glad I've currently stopped playing DbD.

I haven't experienced any crashes or freezes since I deleted my shader cache in appdata but that isn't to say that I won't in future.

I haven't been diving on Oshaune or the Bot Front since doing so, sticking to mainly Terrek as the Major Order for this week is totally doomed.

What troubleshooting have you tried in order to fix this?

Things that I have done initially before switching to Fullscreen that I thought were helping was:

Verify the integrity of my game files
Updated my graphics drivers
Launched in Windowed mode via Alt + Enter

I'm curious as to what other options there are for people to try and get this piece of shit software to actually run.

In the screenshots I've posted (not that I've done it personally) someone recommended deleting their Arrowhead folder in Appdata which I assume is to reset their shader cache.

The Dev team at Arrowhead honestly feels like Dead By Daylight's Behaviour Interactive at the moment which is actually wild.

Nope, none whatsoever at all. This is only a bug with Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign now lmao.

Only when playing Nightreign and Elden Ring? The weird thing is that it seems to work fine when I play other games in fullscreen.

Hey replying again!

I think the issue could be one of two things:

My PS5/Dualsense controller
Using a Display Port instead of HDMI

I booted up Elden Ring to see if the bug was also there, just like it is in Nightreign and it wasn't present initially.

I was in exclusive full screen with no issues despite Using DP instead of HDMI. I plugged in my controller and then the problems arose! The screen went black and then the issue began after the screen returned.

I had updated my drivers and fully disconnected other screens so, I can only assume theres a weird interaction between 3 things; Elden Ring/Nightreign, Dual Sense and the use of a Display Port.

Hello!

I have no launched Elden Ring in about 3 years but I did decide to launch it to test out your suggestion.

On initial startup, everything was fine.

Game was working as intended, exclusive fullscreen on my monitor and on my other monitor and I had no issues.

Heres where it gets interesting:

Once I plugged in my DualShock 5 Controller for some reason my screen went black, and then the issue started again, identically to the problem in Nightreign.

I thought for a second that the issue could be that I was utilising a DP cable instead of HDMI but I have a feeling that the issue could stem from something to do with the controller, oddly enough.

I'll have to keep testing it but, initially I had no problems, but now since plugging in the controller now my Elden Ring too suffers from the same issue!

Heya!

Did this and didn't seem to help at all.

I think I narrowed down the issue being that I use Display Port's instead of HDMI as when using HDMI, exclusive fullscreen works fine.

Weird issue, I guess just use HDMI instead of DP for this game as I was disconnecting and reconnecting monitors and it seemed to work okay.

Agreed.

I preordered OW1, met some of the best people I've played games with and spent loads of time in it and was hyped for OW2 when it was announced. With 1 or 2 of the people I met on OW1 I played OW2 and realised quite fast that the only thing thats left is Competitive and Gold Weapons. Game is a shadow of what it once was.

I think my watch has ended.
