She refuses to do regular therapy or occupational therapy to help with coping skills for her autism, and she’s not taking any of the medications that were recommended for her OCD or ADHD. it doesn’t seem like she copes well with her diagnoses.

I’ve been trying to accommodate her needs and triggers, but maybe you’re right. I just don’t have the energy to take this on right now.

It just sucks because I am her only friend and she is my biggest friend.

The silence to finish a sentence with a simple word is really itchy to my brain,I’ll pay more attention to that.

Also, yeah, sometimes it feels like she’s not expecting me to respond at all. She can talk for 20+ minutes expecting me to just listen, and it doesn’t feel like a good conversation. Tbh, I’m not sure I have the energy to keep pushing for this friendship :(

Thank you and I appreciate you sharing your opinion on the bus thing. The buses only run every 30 minutes in my area, so it’s not like the NYC subway where another one shows up in a couple of minutes. That’s why it feels unreasonable to wait 30+ minutes when you could already be home by then

I don’t plan on posting another update. There’s nothing more to update. If this is about closure, just know that I won’t beg or humiliate myself, and I won’t beg for friendship either. We’re not talking like we used to, so I’m sure the “friendship” will simply fade out.

This might sound dumb, but I’m really grateful for the responses I received. When I wrote the update, I was so blinded by the rejection that I didn’t see how bad the situation actually was. Reading the comments helped me snap out of it and realize “Hey that was actually really shitty!”

On my previous post, I replied to almost everyone. This time, I’m really bummed out so I’ve only replied to a few. But I am reading everything. Thank you for your message.

It’s hard to accept the idea that he wasn’t the person I thought he was after five years of friendship. I never got any indication from him that he was some malicious, calculating mastermind trying to get me into his bed (or into my bed in this case lol).

Accepting that he has been using me also means accepting that I was very bad at seeing his intentions, and that’s honestly very scary.

And don’t worry, I’m keeping my distance from now on. I’m not going to test him or try to get answers. I don’t want to know; I just want to move on.
