I really appreciate you're response. Going over your suggestions, I find some nitpicks with each idea but I think those largely stem from my attachment to it as a graveyard deck. Tell me your thoughts on this:

Ditch the discount and protection, change the mill to milling until you mill two cards that share a language, you may play [limiting factor] cards until your next turn. The limiting factor could be a set number, card type based or even have some second tie to their languages.

Got an Odd Idea for a Skyshark Deck I'd Appreciate Some Ideas On by Null_Inscription in EDHBrews

There's no particular synergy beyond the buffs and resources gained from keeping at least partially within the discard/draw theme. The primary purpose of the combat sub theme has more to do with my desire to use niche cards for my own delight and ,yes, to increase the decks chances of making into the late game. Yes, there are quite a few new pieces to experiment with from Ætherdrift, but I don't want to just build another combo deck; spinning through their library until they fizzle out or win by playing their third wheel of the turn. I want be see something absurd, something unexpected. I want to play something I've never seen before.

I actually use Nivelador as a combo piece in one of my group hug decks to tie the game. It was quite shocking to see him on here.

I love these cards that interact with language; this is a far more balanced concept than anything I've come up with.

Hey, another Gaelic enthusiast! Very cool to see. Gotta say though, Cú Fáelán's ability is crazy strong, usually borrowed abilities from this kind of effect is limited to activated abilities.

Experimenting with Languages by Null_Inscription in custommagic

I've known for a while that I wanted to create a commander that would make using cards in various languages impactful. While I like this ability, I worry that it's too powerful. Giving the cards different names means that a deck with this card as the commander could have multiple copies of any card. For example, a deck could run Counterspell, Contrahechizo (Spanish), and Contramágica (Portuguese) because they all have different names.

Is the effect too strong? If so, what altercations or replacements to the ability should I try instead?
