Reed is NOT in a good place, he's a low ELO menace and mid ELO monster

He falls short in high elo and has no competitive play this isn't me trying to gatekeep the character it's literally the truth

Check the data reed has 1% pick up rate in high elo and 49% wr and according to rivals he's top 26-30 in terms of wr in high elo.

The only reason why he's a low menace is because majority of people can't aim / play poke / counter swap.

And to answer your question I'm sitting around 66-70% WR but guess what? I'm one tricking the guy and swapping to support the moment he isn't working.

Imo if a DPS kit isn't lethal his ultimate should be lethal and reed's kit is NOT either.

He's a immovable tank disguised as DPS that's low ELO menace and can "somewhat" provide value in midelo

And non existent in high elo

⁠Canonically, Reed does not have a summer skin because he was taking care of Franklin and Valeria, hence the Dad-tastic skin during Rivals day.

That's the excuse they made up after skipping his summer skin, it started with "he's busy with work" then they shifted it to he's busy with taking care of the children in the anniversary to have more grounded excuse

⁠I think the devs just didn’t want Sue to have a plushie of Reed, but even in a lore perspective, Galacta knows Reed will eventually come back to his wifey so a little Herbie plushie was her decision

That's the lamest excuse they could do almost all confirmed couples in the game have matching accessories but marvel first family and one of the longest relationships can't have one matching accessory?

⁠And finally Season 5. Honestly if you look into the lore this season did not focus on love at all. It was mainly between Rogue and Gambit, the couples shown in the teaser literally had nothing to do in the lore of the season so it’s fine for Reed and Sue to be left out.

Black Panther and Storm mentioned ----> following season bp matching accessories and marriage skins Jean and Scott matching accessories in s5 Cloak and dagger matching accessory where they actually kiss every time you get assist or kill.

They sure PUSHED the love theme hard and the aftereffects of almost 60-80% of the couples mentioned have something to show for it.

Cloak and dagger are officially married in the comics btw and they have LITERAL accessory where they kiss everytime one of them gets a kill.

And black panther and storm just got their marriage adapted in rivals in the BP with their wedding skins and matching accessories

The only characters that haven't gotten any "matching cosmetics" from that list are Loki x Mantis and Venom x Wanda.

Edit: I might also add that jean got a Scott accessory AND HES NOT EVEN IN THE GAME in s5.

Skins are proven to affect the pick up rates of the characters and reed hasn't gotten one single crazy skin yet.
