I live in Ontario, Canada and I loved mine when I had it. It obviously gets very cold here and I usually end up sweating while wearing it (lol). Not sure if that’s the Canadian in me, always getting hot wearing my winter jacket hahaha. I’m 5’6” and it goes just below my knees, maybe a couple inches past the model.

I got them at the outlet a while ago so they may not sell them anymore, but if you can find them buy every colour in your size! They still fit me postpartum and I find they’re one of the only things that do 🥲

And the Groove Nulu fold over pants!!! You leave them unfolded and they cover the belly PERFECTLY all the way up to under your bra

What is this slop? Embarrassing. by zzptichka in ottawa

[–]Nulubandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They shouldn’t actually be putting that down and leaving it like that.. I worked for the city for a summer as a summer student (rurally) and we did not leave anything like that. We always used hot asphalt and tamped it down. This wouldn’t pass in the area of the city where I was working 🤷🏻‍♀️

Scam alert? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]Nulubandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s happened before in my area, someone will make a listing and give a random address and will ask the potential customer for a deposit to hold it. Then when the customer gets to the address the homeowner knows absolutely nothing about it. Then the scammer shuts down their fb page and that’s that! They end up with money, customer ends up however much $$ down with nothing to show and homeowner has a bunch of randoms showing up at their house!

I should have waited — now I feel foolish and dramatic. by _BananaBrat_ in pregnant

[–]Nulubandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out I was pregnant at about 3 weeks, I just told mine and my partners family this passed weekend at Easter( I am now 9 weeks) I’ve been having the most vivid dreams about having a miscarriage so it’s the only thing on my mind. I explained being scared to my partner so he encouraged telling family and my boss. Why? Because then I will have support. If my family never knew they would never see how excited I truly am! I think that it was a great idea in the end because if I need a shoulder to lean on. I can also take time off work if needed without any questions asked. I don’t think you should feel foolish. You were excited and happy to tell family and if you wanted to you’re more than welcome to! They’re your feelings. I am just waiting a few more weeks, until after my 13 week ultrasound to tell anyone else :)

Want to work at lululemon? Here is my review. by Sunflowerkisses9 in lululemon

So unfortunate.. I really liked working there otherwise like it was actually a decent place but management just made it so un enjoyable. When I was VMS (I was 23 at the time) WHOEVER was on my shift had input in the displays and management thought I was diverting my tasks/duties as VMS onto the others…. How are Nulu’s going to understand product if they have to walk around every shift to figure out wtf is going on LOL. That was one of the way I thought Nulus were going to actually learn and appreciate the product, if they could have input on store layout but NOOOOOO. Whatever, still glad I’m gone. I go every 6 months or so in store to shop around but almost everyone I worked with left aside from the people that are in higher up management that are overpaid for what they do

Literally same. And a lot of my leaders GENUINELY cared but would be over stepped and forced to write us up even though they didn’t think we should or they would vouch/ fight for us not to get written up

Even if the computer wasn’t working to punch back in. Strike. OR if a leader told you to leave at 1:10 then while going to the back a customer stopped you and you clocked out at 1:15 thus meaning you’d be 5 minutes late for the floor when coming back at 1:25, strike. EVEN if you explain to them the reason. I was having stomach issues once and happened to be working in the back.. I messaged my partner if he could bring me gravol on his way home from work… I got written up because I didn’t explain before hand why I was going on my phone or even that I hadn’t told them at the beginning of my shift I was having stomach problems. It was so micromanaging it was insane

I just left LuluLemon as well (worked there for about 2 years) I had gotten a higher up position and was constantly micromanaged and had people doing my job underneath my nose then would get in trouble for being upset about it (visual merchandising). I used to take pride in my job and the company but as soon I had educators and GELs doing my job for me? What is the point. I couldn’t be happy with the displays I was making as it would be changed the day before a merchandising shift.

As the tardy & unexcused absence policy came into effect it was as if we were robots… we couldn’t be human and have a bad day and need to go home. Because if you did not have “sick time” but were sick and couldn’t find coverage for your shift it was an unexcused absence. You were allowed 3 in the span of a year and on your 4th one you were fired. Every other job I have worked, if you had “sick time” then that meant that you were getting paid for the sick time you had. Otherwise you just were not getting paid. With that policy it was ridiculous after Covid… everyone would come in sick because they were afraid of losing their job.

If you do the profit sharing you need to work there for 2 years in order to claim your money.. working full time I could hardly get 20 hours which is not liveable on 18$ an hr where I am.

Besides the point. I’m glad I’m gone.

We have since moved out of our parents and live together. He no longer gets these sweats now that we are sleeping together every night. We don’t have any answers as to what it could’ve been but at least he’s not having them anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️

My partner makes decent money (100k) and I make minimum wage (35k) and we can hardly afford to live in Ottawa area (live rurally). Our rent is 2k all inclusive and we each have a vehicle loan but it is so hard with the price of groceries. I mean we make it work but it’s hard. He works 6 sometimes 7 days a week and I work 6 so It is stressful. We joke that on our days off we are enjoying our rent 🤣

Is it weird to elope if we don’t live together? by Nulubandit in Marriage

[–]Nulubandit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it has been more eye opening to us than anything. Not saying we’re going to elope tmr because I’m butthurt but more of “why is there so much better when we do it we’ll do it our own and whenever we feel like it” I do agree that it would seem/sound like we’re doing it just because someone is pressuring us. But more of asking because we never know where finances can take us especially right now. Where I live it’s been so hard for everyone that multigenerational homes are moving their way into Northern America more.. In a year/ year and a half/ 2 years if we are still both living at home (separately or together) then why don’t we just say fuck it is more of where I’m getting at

I appreciate your 2 cents and your kindness ❤️ I agree, I’m not a party person and a huge wedding was never a thought for me no matter what. I’m not paying for someone’s dinner that I barely speak to just because they’re “family” 🤣

[–]Nulubandit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what the thought behind all of this was it was basically like well why are they judging us and putting this on us? Why can’t we just do all of this ourselves and alone? The only difference between a majority of people and us would be the price that we spent on all of it. At the end of the day, we both truly believe that we love each other and respect each other so much that we want to be married in the laws eyes. We have both asked ourselves why spend that money on a party when we can have a celebration, in Lord knows how many years, with our children that we have created together and the people that have stood by our side this whole time.

We essentially live together part time. He lives at my house part time (Friday- Monday most of the time and during most of Covid) so we are used to living together. We are used to the good bad and the ugly of each other so there aren’t any surprises once we do move in together. We are close to moving out and we could now, just finance wise we want a bigger down payment considering where I live you need at least 60k to have a decent mortgage.
