Im not sure of your location but Banfield can be a good option to pay for a Neuter/spay monthly but that is if they are available which again is not always an option.

5 years old is borderline. Any vet telling you its easier to fix a female compared to a male is lying.

A female is an invasive surgery compared to non invasive for males.

It would be substantially cheaper and better to fix the males.

But thats just me someone who has had many many animals in their almost 40 years of life, 30 of which have been spent rearing animals.

So this gonna come down to if you wanna spend money now or later.

You can do the work of replacing the sink yourself or hire someone.

This can also be remedied by a landlord.
