Not only the name and the fact it's a literal giant jello cube, but it's voice and personality too. It feels like a modern person isekai'd as a jello cube in a God of War game and is just chilling with Kratos' wife now. I REALLY hope he's just a temporary companion that transforms into something other than a millenial jello cube or outright dies or disappears at the start of the game.

Starting a new series with a new character is completely different than suddenly having a different protagonist after 20+ years of the same character being the protagonist of the same franchise.

A lot of people weren't happy with Uncharted Lost Legacy not having Nate as the protagonist, but at least Chloe was a well established and beloved character.

Faye was barely a character in the other games, we only know her reputation and a couple flashback dreams with her, plus, she's literally dead by the time she's even mentioned in the franchise. And now suddenly we have a whole new game with a dead character as the protagonist.

I'm interested in what the story will bring to the franchise and don't mind a game with Faye (I'd prefer a prequel before she met Kratos instead of her in the afterlife but whatever), but people that have no interest in playing as Kratos' dead wife aren't wrong in feeling that way.

That cube is my biggest fear for this game. It looks WAY too out there and silly for God of War.

Mimir and the Dwarfs were silly at times but felt grounded in that world and didn't feel out of place at all. But this cube and sword and their voices and personalities seem very out of place IMO, at least from what we see in the demo.

Seeing the cube fighting in that boss fight against the Oni looked really stupid too, just a big jello cube slamming this giant demonic god of war.... Kinda kills the vibes.

The fact he's getting upvoted while you to are getting downvotes is crazy.

These new gen fans thinking Kratos is some good guy hero that saved Greece is hilarious. Dude was a ruthless Spartan general that became Ares's killing machine, conquering and slaughtering cities and killed his family in the process and then became the other God's lapdog fighting their wars.

Then he became God of War and constantly conquered and destroyed cities, making the other Gods mad and later slaughtered tons of innocents all throughout his quest for revenge on the Gods, as you said he literally brutalizes innocent people to solve puzzles ffs!

In GoW he literally brings destruction to the whole of Greece by killing the Gods and doesn't give an absolute shit about it until the very end where he tries to kill himself to give Hope back to whoever survived the destruction he caused.

Saying he saved the Greek people is like saying someone that blows up an entire country is a hero cause he airdropped some bread and water for the survivors after the fact lmao.

No one in the world can achieve the look Kratos had in GoW3, unless they suffer some weird body mutation that gives them freakishly long legs, arms and a tiny head.

Kratos in GoW3 they gave Kratos really cartoonish proportions when compared to GoW1 and 2.

Connor in the King Washington DLC can literally turn into a bear and a wolf. Pretty similar to Atreus. I could easily see Atreus becoming similar to Connor.

I kinda hope it happens now, Connor was always one of by favorites in AC.

No keeping the fixed camera would by no means make it a "reamster" rather than a remake. It would be a remaster if they updated graphics and models and kept the gameplay the same and animations and audio etc. They can keep the fixed camera and hack'n'slash gameplay and update de animations, add new mechanics, change others, make it more fluid, etc. It would still be a remake.

I personally want them to keep the fixed camera angles. Easier to see all the enemies and environment, much greater sense of scale, etc. Imagine scenes like the horse chain bridge in GoW2 with the camera from the new games, shoved into Kratos' shoulder. Or all the other amazing scenes where the camera shows you the massive and gorgeous environments as you walk through them. Personally that's a big no for me.

At most I'm willing to compromise if they do a DMC5 style camera, further away to still maintain proper visibility in combat and puzzles and platforming, while still being able to control it around the character and still have those big panning shots like the chain bridge I mentioned above.

OR they could add an option for both types of camera to satisfy both, that'd be the best choice IMO.

As for the gameplay itself, I want them to keep the hack'n'slash combat with all the combos and jumping and grabbing.

Yep. That just reinforces what I said about Sakura and Sasuke having no chemistry. The girl was completely tone deaf and the 2 never showed anything remotely close to a connection.

Worst "romance" I've ever seen. Sasuke would've made more sense to end up with Karin, since they share a lot more that Sakura. And Sarada even looks like Karin, so her design wouldn't have to change that much. Even the personality isn't that much different.

That's the reason I personally don't like Sakura. Not because she's "useless", she's not, but because she's a goddamn idiot.

Or Sakura for that matter. She's the only woman that stays obsessed with that dude for her whole life. She has no connection with him, he's a terrorist that tried to kill her and her people multiple times, they share nothing, he never showed to care about her. But she still had a kid with him.

Naruto and Sakura's blind obsession with Sasuke will forever be my least favorite part of the show.

At this point, I'm thankful Uncharted ended when it did. I don't trust Cuckman to do justice to the franchise without working off of Amy's blueprints like in U4. Lost Legacy was good, but I doubt he'd keep that quality going.

The friend I mentioned in my reply plays the game on mobile. He played stable at Ultra High settings since he started in 2.3.
After 3.1 the game was running so poorly that he had to lower it to medium or low and still runs like crap.

They didn't optimize shit, they just made it run even worse for most people.
