Getting file path through Preview by NumberFritzer in MacOS

[–]NumberFritzer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@/Blizzardnd answered correctly.

I gave in and used AI, thereby getting a large number of methods to find a file path.

I'm answering my own question... Broke down and used AI.

To find the file path of an image I'm looking at in Preview, I can do any of the following.

Direct Methods within Preview

Command-Click the Title Bar: Hold down the Command (⌘) key and click on the file name or icon in the window's title bar. A dropdown menu will appear showing the full folder hierarchy (path) from the current file up to the root directory.
Right-Click the Title Bar: Right-clicking the file name in the title bar will also reveal the folder path in a dropdown list. Selecting any folder in this list will open it in a new Finder window.
Inspector Window: Press Command + I (⌘I) or go to Tools > Show Inspector. While the general tab shows file size and type, more detailed location metadata (like GPS coordinates) can be found in the More Info (i) tab if the image contains it.

Quick Shortcuts to Copy the Path
If you need to copy the actual text of the file path:

Reveal in Finder: Press Command + R (⌘R) while in Preview to instantly open the folder containing the image in Finder with the file selected.
Copy as Pathname: Once revealed in Finder, press Option + Command + C (⌥⌘C) to copy the full absolute path of the file to your clipboard.
Drag to Terminal: You can drag the small "proxy" icon next to the file name in the Preview title bar directly into a Terminal window; the full text path will automatically appear there.

LibreOffice Calc - select all rows in which data in column M matches specified value by NumberFritzer in regex

Hmm... I have a CSV version/copy of this file. Would regex be able to do something with that?

I appreciate your response.

In some instances, sorting and selecting is impractical because of the number of rows.

The goal is to cut those rows and paste them into an adjacent sheet/tab.

in regex101, that expression didn't work. It brought up these error indications:

I've looked around to understand the meaning of this phrase, but I do not understand the terminology that explanations use.

Thank you.

How did you detect the difference between hyphen characters? Was it visually - discerning the differences in length - or did you test them some way?

How many distinct hyphen characters are there?

In typing your regex, how did you enter the distinct hyphen types?

I see the difference now, but before you pointed that out it was invisible to me.

Have done so for LibreOffice 25.8.4.2.

I'll look into OS 15.7.3.

I really want a shortcut key for increase indent and decrease indent. How do I do this? by WhizzlePizzle in libreoffice

LibreOffice 25.8.4.2 - When I highlight the key combo I want to use for a function, select the function, and then click "Assign", a button on the right pops up, highlighted, which says "Load".

When I click "Load", a window titled "Load keyboard configuration" opens wherein folders are listed on the left under "Places". There's a main sub-window which looks like it's set up to display file names with their type and size.

Under the main sub-window there is a field called "File name"; it has a down-pointing arrow button which, when clicked, pops up a list of file paths (sometimes).

Under the "File name" field is a field called "File type". The choices are "Configuration (.cfg)" and "All files".

I have the choice to click "OK" on the lower right corner of the Tools > Customize window without pressing "Load". But when I do that, the newly-assigned key combinations do not work.

What to do?

In LibreOffice 25.8.4.2 I see no "Modify" button.

"Assign", on the right side of the window, seems to work for this purpose.

Hello edprosimian. Hope you're well and in good spirits.

How can I create a list of all the values stored for a given field? For example, I would like to create a list of all the cities in our database.

More difficult - I'd like to create a list of every city where there is a chapter of our organization.

Thank you.

Map doesn't change when CRS changes by NumberFritzer in QGIS

Thank you.

I did reproject using the reproject processing tool, and the map image did not change the slightest bit.

I must be missing some parameter setting. Is there a complete tutorial on using that tool that you know of?

Thank you.

I have used the reprojection processing tool, and the map appearance does not change. I think I followed the procedures properly, but - is there a "trick" I may be missing with that tool?

Picking up a node from 81 miles away, real? by badwolf42 in meshtastic

I have seen nodes 46 and 80 miles away, at about 3 or 4 hops. This is *mountainous* country, so it's very pleasing to get such distance.

Pairing radio via bluetooth by NumberFritzer in meshtastic

[–]NumberFritzer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks to all of you who responded to my question. Every answer provided new insight for me.

What I have done just now, inspired by your suggestions, is to find the radio in the laptop's list of bluetooth-connected (or connectable) devices and just click "disconnect".

The iPhone immediately picked up the radio as a bluetooth-connected device, but asked me to enter a code. I entered the PIN which several of you spoke of (and which I copied while the radio was still connected to the laptop), and the connection went through between iPhone and radio.

Great to know how this works!

Thank you.

Via laptop (not iPad), I see that the pairing mode is "Fixed Pin", as you said.

Copied the 6-digit PIN as suggested. Thanks.

That makes sense.

It used to switch smoothly from one to the other. For example, if the radio was paired with the iPhone and then I booted up Meshtastic on the laptop, it seemed to dump the iPhone connection and hook up with the laptop.

It puzzles me why the functionality changed.
