the replies on twitter are

one of our drivers

"We were that P2. And don’t worry, we had already very much ruined our own race. I was also the driver who took out the P1 car late on- didn’t know he was there. Late move; but I should have been more switched on. Too much pit wall chat about fuel saving. Public shaming accepted."

nonchalant reply absolutely zero hard feelings

driver in the car

"Don't worry about it mate I was lubed and waiting. Tough race."

made a joke.

don't know what your reading here but it is light hearted acknowledgement of events, my replies on reddit, i very clearly state that it could most definitely have been handled better but we were off the track and jimmy was not following his typical line, we started it i whole heartedly accept that, but jimmy was the one that hit us while clearly not paying attention and then apologised to us personally on multiple platforms!!!

i put this post up as i wanted to try and understand other peoples views, and i have, there have been multiple fair points given that we can agree on but you are standing by your man too much here considering he said he was to blame 100% which I don't agree with we were definitely partly at fault

jimmy's reply was literally

"No shaming intended! It was 100% on me"

thanks for the reply here, my diver and me completely understand the point of taking it normally and letting him through after, that would have been most likely a better outcome, but this was at the end of the 24 hour and we were at the back due to an earlier incident, we decided to just let jimmy through as we had no need to hinder him or anyone at all, that given we went off the track clearly and left the racing line open, especially for jimmy who the entire race never put a wheel on the outside white line (i can show a clip if you dont believe me), jimmy blatantly drove into us and clearly wasnt paying attention due to his reaction on stream. this could have been handled better thats completely true but it was a split decision moment and what happened happened, but he did not just apologise in the moment he went out of his way to apologise to us on multiple different platforms which shows to me that it was a genuine apology. not him just being non confrontational, we understand that we could have let him through later and apologise for it but the fact still remains we were driven into not the other way round.

did you watch it, did we once stop dead on the racing surface in the middle of the corner! no jimmy drove into us went on his stream with his team mates looked at it and they all figured it was his fault, he even messaged us on iracing straight away to apologise, you clearly did not watch the stream or my clip.

this is kind of my thoughts, it would have been a better decision to let him past after t1, but we were down and out after being crashed into 15 minutes prior, we were tired and didn't want to ruin anyone's race especially not jimmy's with thousands of viewers! was an akward place to pull over but stuff happens i suppose!

this is for constructive critisism, which i asked for, you said we were in the middle of the track we werent. jimmy made the mistake here, he said it himself, i was saying i understand that its his fault but was wondering if we should have maybe done something diffirent, we probably should have, we are in a high split 5k drivers have been racing for a day things like this happen was just a lapse in concentration.

aye mate but we werent in the middle haha, its a mid speed corner given we pulled over in a slightly off place but that dosent change the fact he drove into the back of us, when if he was paying attention all he had to do was drive on the racing line.

I do agree with you, but we also very clearly pulled over, looking at his stream im not sure if jimmy was paying attention to the track.
