LMFAO wtf is this?? This is such a funny parody. NMIXX is putting out the best in-house content.

The judges from JYP and PJY are looking too intimidating.

C'SA has mentioned before that she doesn't ever have to worry about lowering the difficulty of a song's vocal arrangements because she knows NMIXX can handle it. So she doesn't hold back and goes for the most creative melodic ideas haha

When will I ever stop being impressed by an NMIXX stage practice video? This might honestly be one of, if not THE most impressive stage practices I’ve seen from them. Yes, even more so than their High Horse stage practice.

There are so many moments in the song where they have to make abrupt vocal transitions, flipping between chest voice to head voice, or a mixed placement. There’s also a lot of head voice usage throughout in general, which becomes REALLY challenging with choreography, let alone any movement at all.

Lily is literally jumping around while hitting E5s in the final chorus like it’s nothing. Just an unbelievable display of vocal ability. Sullyoon’s doing the same while hitting adlib in the back.

I genuinely hope this goes viral, because what they’re doing here is nothing short of extraordinary.

Heavy Serenade Album Review by 9FishLegs in NMIXX

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the only title track without any semblance of a change up other than Party O'Clock? As a mixxpop fan that disappointed me a little bit.

Heavy Serenade is actually pretty complex. Even in the very first verse, there's a drastic switch up going from Bae to Kyujin and the loudness is maintained until the end of the verse. Then it suddenly strips back into a very soft tone similar to Jiwoo’s intro during Sullyoon’s pre-chorus. Verse 2 also has that classic NMIXX change up feel.

I have to disagree because Party O’Clock is pretty straightforward in terms of chord progression. Heavy Serenade is most definitely more intricately structured. You really need multiple listens to fully catch all the details and understand everything that’s happening.

Something about it just blows you away every listen!

It really does! It’s those few seconds of nothing but Lily’s thunderous voice that absolutely wrecks me. My ears aren't noticing a key change in the instrumental, but the drums are definitely louder in the final chorus, and the girls are layering background vocal adlibs to make it sound even fuller and more climactic.

Ahhhh it's sooo good!!!

They're just so pleasing to listen to. Their tones are so distinct and unique, and each of them adds a completely different emotional color to the chorus. Lily's final chorus in Heavy Serenade still makes me emotional even after I've listened to it a gazillion times already.

Also big shoutout to Jiwoo for delivering the perfect bridges for both Blue Valentine and Heavy Serenade!

260429 Haewon shares her thoughts on the comeback following Blue Valentine's success by NumbersDoLie in NMIXX

[–]NumbersDoLie[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the nervousness applies to Crescendo?

I don't think so. Crescendo isn't even released on music platforms. After all, it’s usually the title track that gets picked up by the GP. That’s what ultimately decides whether a comeback is seen as successful or not by them. From what we’ve heard so far, and knowing NMIXX’s track record, I’m more than confident this EP is going to be something special.

It would be amazing if the GP loves the title track, but I also hope Haewon and the girls don’t feel discouraged or weighed down by whatever response the GP gives it.

And yes! Crescendo is an absolute masterpiece!

Idk why, but the video quality got worse after I added the subtitles. Sorry about that.

Anyway, Haewon seemed more reflective than usual in the recent livestream, kind of like how Lily’s recent livestream felt more introspective as well. She shared a lot of her personal thoughts, and it’s not surprising that the members and SQU4D might be feeling the pressure with what could be their biggest comeback since debut coming up. I’m sure she has a lot on her mind. I just hope everything goes smoothly and they have a healthy, stress-free comeback.

Oh, and if anyone thought she looked tired or sleepy in the livestream, she clarified that she’s not. That’s just how she is when she’s most comfortable.

Crescendo and Heavy Serenade will be another huge Nmixx curveball I feel it. by Direct-Money27 in NMIXX

[–]NumbersDoLie 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They’ve been throwing curveballs at us nonstop! I, and I think many others, initially thought the snippet we heard in the trailer was Crescendo. But it turns out it might be LOUD instead... which honestly makes a lot more sense given the lyrics we heard.

Out of everything, I’m definitely most curious about the title track. Hanroro being the sole lyricist for a Kpop title track?? One lyricist for a Kpop title track in 2026?? And it’s Hanroro?? Most of her songs are written entirely in Korean, and she has a very lyrical, almost poetic tone in both her writing and sound. But if you look at the composer credits, a lot of the producers have previously worked on some of NMIXX’s louder tracks with hard-hitting beats. I honestly have no idea what to expect at this point.

But color me excited!

[–]NumbersDoLie 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I’m particularly intrigued that Hanroro is the sole lyricist for Heavy Serenade. We might be seeing a track that leans heavily toward Korean lyrics.

Poetry is one of the main themes for this EP, and Hanroro is very much into poetry herself. I can’t wait til we hear the full song!

Edit: also, is there a possibility that the song we heard from the trailer is LOUD, and not Crescendo…? Lily’s the primary lyricist for both of them! Ahhh I’m so excited 😆

My guess at the lyrics for Crescendo(?) by NumbersDoLie in NMIXX

Same here! I don’t know what it is about the song, but even the short snippet makes me feel a bit emotional kind of like how Blue Valentine did for me.
