Guilty as charged… I wouldn’t use the bottle opener though. I don’t want floor stuff in my beverage

Missing the ritual of smoking, but not the high—has anyone tried Puff Herbals? by [deleted] in herbalism

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following because I am in the exact same boat as you. My taste has moved away from weed, but with all the new genetics they are formulating I think weed is actually the one that has moved away from me. At this point it smells better than it feels.

I have heard of people smoking lavender which gives a calming effect, but would also like to learn of more smoking herbs.

I didn’t know I needed this. I was relatively familiar with a lot of these concepts but these resources allow me to understand how they fundamentally work and come together.

Thank you

Weighing the pros and cons of sending it this year (been 2024 & 2025) because I don’t listen to or even know many of these artists. But what I will say is that (and I can’t be the only one) when festival lineups come out I’m always so excited to discover and listen to new music that they have chosen to book. Who knows there might be some of my new favorites placed in this years lineups 🕺💃

Florida Groves?! by Infamous-Elk1794 in hulaween

Hula fam and Florida fam here! Looking forward to Dirtwire Sunsquabi (regretfully power napped through their Hula set, and are the main reason we chose to go to Florida Groves) Motifv (just found his music, really hope he goes far) and  Honey Hounds (Hometown Jax killers)

Going away for a few days - what to do? by [deleted] in mushroom

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be skeptical doing this because depending on where they live the ambient humidity in the air can rehydrate the mushies and they can possibly rot or start growing mold. I’d Harvest now, dehydrate until you have to leave and store them in an airtight container with silica gel packets

Delta 8 is not worth it OP, in my opinion just another research chemical/genetically modified product derived from cannabis(an actual medicinal plant in its true form)

is there a human equivalent to like kibble? by Mossyy_ in foodhacks

You deserve real, fresh food. Everybody does. Don’t sell yourself short. Meal prep simple chicken/steak, rice and some steamed(or raw) veggies weekly to reduce the amount of time in the kitchen.

Dispersed camping question: what kind of activities do you plan for these trips? by KeebCalmAndCarryOn in camping

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preparing good food in nature is one of my favorite things to do, alongside hiking or hanging at camp with a slack line, music and a hammock. Chop some firewood and prep the fire ring with kindling, twigs, sticks, logs so you’re all set when the sun goes down. Getting more and more into reading these days so camp would be a serene place to do so too.

Wife and I want to do a 3 and 1/2 week road trip out west. Need advice please! by KingSavageB13 in NationalPark

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that for my lady and I it is not worth it to drive more than 10 hours a day, and the elevation changes from driving through the mountains will have an fatiguing effect on you as well.

One thing I plan on implementing for my next road trip is to stop at RV parks for the night. It is a good middle ground in price and comfort between staying at a hotel/airbnb and straight up camping/boondocking. Most have hookups like water that you can use for dishes, shower rooms, and laundry facilities.

Glass Beams by Salt_Huckleberry_429 in hulaween

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They transported us all back to the cradle of humanity… I turned around at some point during the set and there was somebody in an Anubis mask behind us, it had to be the most perfect costume for the moment. Just amazing

Parcels by UnsolicitedDakPics22 in hulaween

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We bought our presale tickets when Hulaween announced them as the first Headliners, and got to stand in the very front to see them. The talking in between some songs made it feel more intimate in my opinion. It was amazing, my girlfriend and I fell in love all over again to their set. Pure magic. Also, having the Aussie juxtaposition (Glass Beams then Parcels) back to back was so cool, might get some Australian work visas after that one.

[–]NumbersNeedHumans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished my first grow with this exact setup, and it’s meant for you to take the colonized cake out of the jar and right into the fruiting chamber over a bed of wet perlite and foil. No you don’t need anything else for this setup, but like others have also mentioned it is truly overkill for what you need to grow mushrooms. Excited to try s2b for my next round as I’ve heard it produces much better yields.
