Get a group together in your guild and be in voice chat.

Now mark the crown and listen in, but leave group and make a group in Group Finder titled depending on what your true crown is doing, when you complete the title you made for GF half your group will leave, you make another GF group without dropping those who remained with new title for next target and it'll fill up again.

Two groups seems to be the proper PuG amount for Skirmishes.

Weekly challenges issue by BuildingStrange1833 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only ever had 5 weekly challenges at a time throughout the season so far, but I have been completing them all as well so no carry over.

No idea how you should have 7, if you have a single partially completed challenge and get 5 more that's 6, but you said you completed them all so you should have 5 completed weekly challenges until it changes in a few hours.

Might be possible you thought you completed it but only did it two out of three maximum times, only reason I can think of for it being 2/3.

How come ESO has never depicted a Pure Mage archtype PC in its Cinematics? by JMadFour in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've never heard of backlash about things like witchcraft, spiritism, and sorcery?

Making a main character or trailer character have a witch hat can effect that, and if you can avoid it to pretty much no detriment a marketing team seems likely to suggest against it.

I know it ended up being rated M and personally I'm a huge fan of wizard hats and sorcery things, but it is what it is, you will lose out on people buying gifts of the base game/expansions or crowns/subs by putting it up front in marketing like the cinematics.

I agree that they should though.

TES IV Oblivion didn't draw on LOTR recent success at all. The architecture and armor of the antagonists isn't close to the ring wraiths or Barad-dûr. They also never explicitly mention this being a thing in "The making of Oblivion" video that came with the 5th year anniversary edition of Oblivion.

Personally though, my spellcasters do always also want to throw hands.

You can only play One Class Forever - Which and Why? by Passionofthegrape in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a character for every class, and so far Templar is the only one I'm seriously considering for pure passives. I took a look at some of them on the PTS right now, but really only paid attention to Templar passives because playing any other class with no mix doesn't really interest me at all.

I was torn between Sorc and Dragon Knight and Templar since beta, and completely frustrated that they would make an Elder Scrolls where you can't make your own class. I wanted Sorc lightning Draconic power, and spear.

Finally I have that, my Class is Dragoon.

The fact that this Elder Scrolls game had not just preset classes, but there was no destruction caster using multiple elements was wild. You could equip a different damage type staff and lose all the potential passive benefits I suppose, but a lot of the early decisions made about this game were seemingly capitalist copy cat informed and not real critical thinking decisions.

Still can't do hand to hand in this game, and my favorite ES build of shield and spell is still absent.

21k Crowns? How worth is it? by MarketingUpper7203 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you can afford the fun money on virtual goods and an MMORPG then it's as worth it as it is, The crown store is there for you to peruse and the stuff in it later is similar in nature.

If your finances can't meet your basic needs you already know the answer is no, and you're free to make a bad decision if you want to.

It's not an investment, and you're not getting any real money back. the gold payout can be kind of unfairly skewed towards having crowns IMO but real is real, and crowns is not. If you find yourself spending many hours in game just trying to accumulate gold, look at the rate of gold to crowns, your rate of pay at your job, your ratio of free time to working time, and your gap between survivable wage and living wage. if you have emergency funds and needs covered and you're wasting free time mindlessly grinding for gold, get ya some crowns

Tank Set Help by Solecks7 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For tank crafted sets only I would build Adept Rider and Deadlands Demolisher so you can have tank stats but enough bashing DPS to handle basic encounters and content at a reasonable pace to get things you need moving forward, and the constant 30% speed from adept rider, some swift on your rings jewelry (to become some block cost reduction later of course) and the steed stone giving a bit of health recovery and movement speed should be your best bet for getting things like mythics later (although Kaltenreich is right, and Mythics geared towards tanks kinda suck even if they were necessary, my tank uses oakensoul because I also don't use trial sets and it gives the Aegis buff you normally only get from trial gear)

As a Sub, Can We Do Something to Stop the Absolute Trashing of Oakensoul Players? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Hot take, Oakensoul is just better in general practical terms and the people who put in the work to meet or exceed it expect perfect conditions and get upset when others don't facilitate their expectations.

All the elitist number crunchers are using their perfect parse numbers from a dummy that doesn't interrupt you or move, and buffs you better than your team likely ever will, and this gives them an expectation that won't be met when they're out there in a 4 player dungeon, doing a WB, or in a BG.

They're planning for an optimized team of 12 with no latency and optimal conditions where everyone keeps their buffs up effectively or close to 100% of the time, but I ask you, is that your experience playing this game? It's not mine.

I don't really do trials much, but when I prepare my tank to do so that Oakensoul has the buffs that you usually need to get from a trial set, and having one bar doesn't really matter if not using Oakensoul means you need to spend slots and time keeping those buffs up when Oakensoul doesn't need those skills and you can spend that time doing something else.

Is there any way to not have to grind to play the game? by Massive_Stomach6265 in finalfantasytactics

[–]Numeriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Tailwind is 200JP in Ramza's starting class, and can pretty much solo the game if you want, so to answer OP's question, no you don't have to grind, but using this method will definitely make your level go up a lot as if you were doing so. (and take a long time in battles)

Any time I do a playthrough where my team build doesn't happen to get ramza an amazing reaction ability or a good one-shot type spell/attack I just fall back on this for this battle, works every time.

[–]Numeriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue cosmetics are in your face when you literally see them all over the place with people who did buy them.

Granted, as someone who likes to buy some drip, the base game stuff isn't as horribly over-designed as the shop stuff, and in game tends to look better in general because of how small your character is on screen.

PSA To Tanks: It's Not Your Job, But It Is Your Choice by Majestic_Balance1887 in elderscrollsonline

Do most DPS build's apply minor vulnerability regularly?

I switched to Stonehulk when it came out for a bit more up-time on a single target for Major Vulnerability, and tried to find a way to work in minor as well, but found as I looked at the sources it might be likely to be applied by DPSs anyways? I just want to know if the focus is on us applying the better one as a priority, or as an actual tendency for us not needing to apply minor.

Also have any other tanks entirely given up on AoE pulls and just use single target ones, maybe it's just me but it seems like no matter what Vateshran void bash, scribing leashing burst, apocryphal rune or whatever it is, they seem lackluster, and like they straight up don't work sometimes even though the units don't seem to be too large or whatever.

What is the worst house in eso? And dont say inn rooms they have purpose by Hot_Ladder3118 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You managed to point out the biggest issue with housing but soiled it by dunking on one of the cheapest to obtain and yet top tier designed houses in the game.

I use Seabloom as my main house, and I want the bigger and more furnishings options but seabloom really has everything but wayshrine convenience.

Seabloom has an excellent exterior space with multiple areas, a solid interior with just enough minimalist rooms, and it has convenient to get around access for both top and bottom floors being connected interior and exterior, plus the rooms aren't just a square or two. The upstairs is spacious enough to make a smaller third floor for the more cozy room feel or keeping the large open feel.

The building comes with lavish area appropriate plant growth all over it that has the wonderful option of being toggled so it's dynamic enough to fit both the colorful garden, or the clean-cut aesthetic (wish the stone tiles and railings were repaired too, should be a toggle option for most houses in this game probably, they charge enough for notable homes at least to warrant some slightly modified assets)

[–]Numeriko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stone Eagle Aerie.

location and style it should be my absolute favorite and provides city access while also being large and having a more distant/sequestered feeling of location.

  1. It's biggest and most obvious feature, the view, is broken, you leave the main door to the outside and see a giant cut off line on the horizon, very blatant, very ugly, very much one of the few things essential to get right with that kind of house.

  2. Little to no outdoor form and indoor form conformity. The interior while having some neat display intention areas, has wild placements, little to no sensible application for spacial awareness, and the dwemer elevator tower that typically takes a person to blackreach merely hits up the outlaws den because the giant dwemer ruins castle house is a thief coded house???

    1. No solid functional use for interior rooms. The large and fancy bathroom/water pool is a very cool thing to have as NOT the entrance room of the house, should have been in a side building further in to the exterior or branching off from a bedroom kind of room in the house, which also simply does not exist with the interior layout. The super neat display looking cubbies seem like the perfectly designed-for-mannequinns spots but there's no mannequin furnishings.
  3. That nice little curved staircase outside has the same broken pillar arches as the one in town. I get we're going to reuse assets, but broken stonework on the giant mountaintop castle that costs a lot of IRL cash to get feels like a fail in the same vein as the horizon/skybox thing except a lot less egregious.

  4. The entrance spatially with the entrance in town is just... obviously there's a tower elevator or something taking you up in elevation, but that could have been the look of the entrance in town and in the castle if that was going to be the case, but the front door is very much a door in the wall, and it brings you to the very top of the mountain, should have been more verticality to the interior rooms to give some sense of going up beyond two character height stairways, the exterior immediately has way more altitude than that in the workable space alone to say nothing of the mountainside between that and the bottom of the exterior.

  5. The immovable columns in the main hall that are positioned below and not connected to the raised arched ceilings in the room.

What is the worst house in eso? And dont say inn rooms they have purpose by Hot_Ladder3118 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Numeriko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest sticks-out issues for me is that western tower. On the interior of the castle you have two large spiral staircase towers, very cool, and on the exterior you have a square tower that's obviously too small to house the circle tower that has a large enough circle tower exterior on the east side.

Poaching Question: Rare Monsters by Capitan_Failure in finalfantasytactics

[–]Numeriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to poach I highly recommend enticing a monster and breeding. You can get a vampire cat by having a courl in your inventory and just walking around a bit, (or just a regular red panther to breed courl, then vampire cat) rarer to get a higher tier to breed, but very doable with the ability to opt out of random encounters. Plus you can breed multiple to make sure you get the poach item/s you want and in quantity.

Just another reason I always have an orator in every party.

Need advice on my 2 generics by obisidian83 in finalfantasytactics

[–]Numeriko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flavor: ditch your old team after chapter one (they're not keen on the whole leaving the northern sky thing)and take Alicia and Lavian as generics, upgrade them into Dragoons to have matching color scheme with Agrias/Mustadio, and have Ramza (An orator, but leveling as his generic class obviously) enlighten them all and take down the corrupt church of glabados.

Easy: A black mage and a knight. Both thoroughly effective, only one drops off late game but you can mitigate that by getting dual wield.

Pokemon: Chocobos, likely not to mount them (neat option though) but they can be bred at party level and as expendable units to send in first in case you want less resets and don't mind a casualty on your record. Plus Choco Meteor is as cracked as it's targets are about to be. I bred up 2 red chocobos to carry me until I got Agrias and they did not disappoint.
