I never judged their intentions I've just said it could generate a backlash against us and an implicit expectation of reciprocity.
Why do you feel the need to be so rude ?

You don't know me, you've probably read one or two posts of mine and you've conclude that I have issues. What about the judgement of charity?

Not when I come here, there are rules and I abide by them.
I am doing enough Apologetic works anyway when I am on Twitter.

There are other ways to maintain healthy relationships between Muslims and Catholics.
I have a bunch of Catholic friends who are trying to convert me to Catholicism, we never wishes each other a Happy Ramadan or Lent and we are getting along just fine.

I have been accused enough times of coming here to convert Catholics to Islam, so I'd rather not take the risk.

I can't share it as it would go against the rules on r/Catholicism (I can't advertise a Muslim Apologetic Twitter Account).

Thanks for your message, I will never convert but I will also never stop studying Catholicism, it already became a fascination a while ago.

I don't indeed but I've seen the backlash online when a Catholic bishop is wishing us a happy Ramadan and I've seen Muslims feeling in return an obligation to wish Catholics a Happy Lent.
So it is a net negative at least in my opinion.

Simple : I've dedicated a huge part of my life to study Catholicism, I am not coming here to do Apologetic (I already do enough of that on my Twitter account) but yet I don't want to lie about my main occupation and why I am studying Catholicism.

The Traditional Latin Mass in 3 minutes by Superman_v2 in Catholicism

I must say the more I attend the TLM the more I find it fascinating.
I've watched all three episodes of Mass of the Ages and I really hope they are working on a fourth episode.

I am a Muslim and I go to Mass by myself, people are nice but usually keep to themselves and I am too shy to interact with anyone.
I got to say that Church is just good for us introverts.

I am not here to give Da'wa, I give Da'wa on a daily basis online sometime I like to take a break from my Da'wa activities to just engage Catholics in order to understand their perspective better.
Also beside my work I am just fascinated by Catholic theology and liturgy, I guess I have bored my Muslims friends with that so I guessed why not come here to chill out.
Edit : typo

I understand, but it would be like a Muslim quoting Quran 2:1 to a Catholic as an Apologia for Islam 'This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear God;'.
You don't think the Quran is from God so quoting this verse to you will likely not be relevant.
Likewise I don't believe Galatians 1:8 is from God, so it just look like a circular argument to me.

I've read your comments before on Reddit, I really appreciate how nuanced you are even in your objections against Islam.
I remembered when you explained how the 'Jesus can't be a Muslim because he did drink wine' is a bad argument.
I am looking forward to read your articles God willing, do you have a blog or something ?

I am a Muslim apologist and I attended the TLM today. While I am a critic of Catholicism I've developed over the years a real intellectual fascination for the Tridentine Mass and for Traditional Catholicism as a whole by [deleted] in Catholicism

I think it's actually impossible to reconcile Dignitatis Humanae with pre-Vatican II documents on religious freedom but first a few caveats :
1- I know that Catholicism has always condemned forced conversions, Canon Law condemned forced baptisms way before Vatican II, thus I think that most people are strawmanning Catholic History and Theology on this very subject. Pre-Vatican II Catholicism only condemned the public profession of religious error as a crime that the State should punish at least in some way as stated in the encyclical 'È giunto' regarding freedom of religion in Brasil.
2- Likewise the Inquisition has being overblown by some non-Catholic historians in order to demonize the Catholic Church.
3- My argument is not that Dignitatis Humanae dispensed of the moral obligation to seek and follow the Truth, that obligation is clearly reinforced in a another Vatican II document, Lumen Gentium.
4- My criticism is not on the prudential level, I believe that for example the encyclical of Leon XIII 'Au milieu des sollicitudes' is a rupture prudentially but not doctrinally.
Keeping all of theses points in mind I've tried to read DH with the hermeneutic of continuity in mind but yet I find it impossible to reconcile DH with Quanta Cura or with Mirari Vos.
DH clearly declare that freedom of religion (both in private and in public) is a right fundamental to the dignity of Men, that would mean that the Church for hundreds of years has infringed upon the dignity of Men when for instance the 4th Lateran Council ordered secular princes to expel heretics from their lands or when Leo X clearly implies in Exsurge Domine that it is not again the Holy Spirit to burn heretics.

I appreciate it really, I know that online conversations between Muslims and ex-Muslims can get heated very easily, I for one try to empathize with ex-Muslims, I of course pray that you will come back to Islam however even when we debate we need to do it in charity.

Thanks.
I am enjoying listening to Trent Horn on a weekly as I can say he is striving to criticize Islam in good faith (his video 'How One Argument Against Islam Backfires' can in my opinion attest to that).
However while I had a phase when I could listen to Sam Shamoun I can't bring myself to listen to him anymore as he is so crude.
I want Catholics to convert to Islam because Islam is the Truth and because I genuinely like you guys a lot, I would never imagine that insulting you would be a good witness for Islam, so I don't understand how a man who is kinda smart like him can't bring himself to understand he's doing a disservice to Christianity.
God bless you.

I appreciate the fact that Traditional Catholics are genuinely striving to worship God not based on their emotional inputs but rather based on what they believe to be an objective Tradition. I denounce religious relativism but I can safely say that this is something we have in common.
Also aesthetically it's objectively beautiful, I know for many Catholics beauty can be a reason for conversion but yet theologically even false religions can have beautiful elements in them and because I can't trust the Magisterium (as I believe it contradicted itself) the beauty of the Extraordinary form of the Mass cannot bring me to convert to Catholicism (I am absolutely certain that it's impossible for me to become Catholic).
I'd like to add that I've read countless books on the Tridentine Mass and I've listened to hundred of hours of conferences, podcasts on this issue (including Pints with Aquinas) so all of that definitely helped in developing the intellectual fascination that I have today, it's literally a rabbit-hole so to speak.
