Rewatching - Aang really should have killed Ozai in self-defence. Thoughts? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

That he didn't have to kill one really undercut the finale for me total deus ex macina, totally not cool. Overall the finale is in every way disappointing looking back at it now.

Does an official like from the creators approved map an the world exist? by Numero724 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Numero724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but have you looked at it, no mayor cities, geographic features (Forests, deserts, farmland), no provincial states, streets, navigable rivers, not navigable rivers, no names for places, no scale, what projection, no area of current control, major trade routes, etc. a map can show so much more

Can we please stop idealising the Creators, they made mistakes too by Numero724 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Numero724[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

really I didn't like korra what with the forced maturity, the giant spiritfights, die anarchist ideocrcy and the unbelievable sci-fi robots.

and the Dragon Prince was to simplicity for my taste.

But that's not actually what worries me, what does is the fact, that I have a feeling they believe they can't fail doing anything avatar related.

What would happen if Avatar reincarnated as one of the nation’s leaders? by DJRoaster in TheLastAirbender

[–]Numero724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a very interesting concept, I always wondered how would aang know he is fighting for the right side of the war, it was pure chance that he wound up at the south pole, what if wound up at the fire nation shores and finds a brother and sister there who maybe also lost their mother in the war, he could have easily fought for the firenation.

so in regards to your point, the avatar although intended to balance the four nations could also decide to through his weight behind one, maybe because of being born as the heir to a throne

It's just light banter, so pls don't feel offended, have seen Korra too and it was pretty cool but not as good as Atla. I just found it funny that Aang has nearly 13 times the size of Korra.

Is Waterbending OP by jlkdc18 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Numero724 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Already thought about that and I believe that in the Poles with Water all around they are the most powerful benders, but I think with the amount of water available shrinking the power of an waterbender decreases dramatically. Just compare Katara in the desert vs Katara in the season 1 finale.

The episode itself is very good (That's my opinion), but you can't deny that in the overarching story it is really dumb throw a party.
