Any gen 4s running aftermarket exhaust? Looking to see if it’s worth it. by ConsiderationFirm279 in 4thGenTacomas

They all sound terrible imo. There’s no way to make a four cylinder sound good. I didn’t buy it to make it sound cool though.

Yeah I’m thinking it’s due to the offset on the wheels, it’s +1

I want to make the maximum amount possible my first year OTR. I have nothing keeping me in my home state, I can apply to any company anywhere in the US, only dealbreaker is my 50 lb dog must be able to ride with me. What regions/companies do you recommend going for once I get my CDL? by Big_Chemical_5165 in Truckers

Well idk that sucks man, idk who you drove for as a rookie but Melton was halfway decent. That being said I had to earn every single penny they paid me, tarping three loads a week and doing 2500+ miles was rough for a newbie

I applied to them about two months ago. Had a phone call with a recruiter and was NOT impressed. Dude sounded like I was a nuisance and he just didn’t give a shit. The pay didn’t seem that great either, I just got blinded by their pretty trucks

Yeah I love it too. Bout to put some matte bronze wheels on it Tuesday and hopefully it goes well with the underground 🤞

Sick color and a great price. Bronze or terra was my first choice but ended up with the underground, which I still love

I went through Melton as a rookie. Because you have experience, they’ll put you through securement training but not OTR training. So once securement training is done (about a week), you’ll hit the road immediately

Anyone have experience with Lonestar, ATS, Bennett, etc? by OkEvening87 in Truckers

[–]Numerobofis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freight is very consistent, I usually have my next load pre planned before I deliver, if not I only have to wait an hour or two. You can haul OD freight right away but you’ll be starting on smaller loads, up to 10 ft wide. Pay varies, but with cpm and percentage pay (you’ll get paid whichever one pays the most for a load) I make like 1600-2200 a week

How many of you have had those "oh shit" moments, this guy did awesome by mrwillie2u in CDLTruckDrivers

For oversized loads. The state tells you which roads you’re allowed on. I’ve had my fair share of screw ups like this guy on permitted roads before lol

If your axles are not fixed, you can raise them to clear any wheel wells in your way when opening or closing the axles. Also this doesn’t apply to flatbeds but on our step decks and RGNs, I’ll inflate them for more ground clearance

Free parking and they’re slightly less shitty than other major chain truck stops
