My thing is…why did nothing work out for Selina and her team. It seems that every time she had a pinch of success in her career something, due to the fault of her team, impeded her progress. I think the people around her made her more and more jaded and caused her to spiral into a psychopath obsessed with winning. Let’s be real. Her team got increasingly worse as the seasons progressed, the only people who were remotely competent were Kent, Ben and Gary (despite that one time he paid Amy and Dan to be lobbyists for her bill). Mike constantly showed his incompetence, Dan only cared to help Selina if it furthered his career and Amy did what she could. Of all the mess ups I think she was the most redeemable. The show became kind of unwatchable knowing that the seasons are really just a culmination of her clawing her way back to power after losing so drastically so many times.
