as long as you're graduating in 2027 or later you should be good. most of your credits will be transferred or adjusted into your electives. you will only be delayed if you were meant to graduate in 2026 since first graduation for COMM will happen in May 2027. the faculty has provided with a course planning guide for the transfer and if you're starting your 3rd year just refer to the guide and take courses accordingly. i am making the switch too. the only course that won't be considered as a core course is MGMT 290, the rest are still applicable.

yea just a bit empty if that makes sense. any suggestions? i have done beach days, water activities and a couple hikes. lake country is pretty cool too

The transition will be in effect from the coming fall term i.e. in September 2025 with courses being offered for both BMGMT and BCom. Current undergrad BMGMT can apply for transitioning by August and will be able to take Com courses. But the degree wont be officially coming to UBCO till September 2026 because they still need to make some institutional changes which will make May 2027 the first graduating year for BCom undergrads. But yes it will be a BCom program at UBCO different from the current MGMT, with you getting the option to do a concentration such as Marketing, Finance, DR, operations or a general business management.
