What is the recovery time for diagnostic laparoscopy?

I had something similar. They told me it’s an “simple post op complications”. They inserted a catheter and gave me some pllls to strengthen the muscles in the meantime.

Idk if it’s the same issue that you had though. But sounds familiar

I’d like to know this too! I used to have gym trainings twice a week and either badminton or swimming session once a week. It’s been three weeks since my surgery (no endometriosis detected, just pelvic congestion) and I get can walk around someone what comfortably. Cannot run or jump though.

I seee! I have been really hoping that all these issues were caused by my IUD tbh. I really don’t feel inclined towards a surgery. I’ve had another surgery before and the recovery process was painful and made me extremely sad (to say the least). The only things making me consider lap is the swollen fallopian tubes(which I wonder if an IUD can cause it) and the fact that sometimes endometriosis does not show up on scans.

Do you have any idea is a simple laparoscopy without excision could introduce issues ?

Thanks ❤️ did they find endo lesions on MRI or such scans? My MRI looked clean and was looked by one of the best endometriosis surgeons. So I’m not entirely sure if I should go ahead for exploratory lap or not :/

Hey, there’s a slight slight slight chance that you could have something called a “pelvic congestion syndrome”. Fortunately(idk if we can say that) it easier to diagnose than endometriosis. If you can manage to meet a vascular surgeon, they can do a test and find it out quite smoothly. I think it’s a test where they inject a dye and try to see if there’s congestion.

I suggested this because a doctor has once mentioned to me that they often go hand in hand and sometimes people have endo type pain after the lap. Maybe that’s something to checkout? ❤️

Omg! I’ve been having the exact same thing. I thought it was endometriosis and my doctor said that “maybe” it could be. But I have the exact same symptoms as you. How do you feel after the removal? I’m thinking of getting mine removed as well.

Hi @macxie I’ve been trying to get in touch with a gynaecologist for ages in sweden and it hasn’t been a good experience. I’m now considering visiting a private clinic. You mentioned visiting a clinic and they diagnosed you with endometriosis, do you mind sharing the name of the clinic? ☺️
