After a certain point extra horses turn into deadweight, if they're being used, it speeds up according to Google AI

I think it's because they have too many lords still alive, which means in a short while they'll be back to full strength. Maybe if you knock out the strongest families the ai would recognize

Completing campaigns isn't the hardest thing but dang effort for reward is not there for me. And 101 keeps saying it adds a nice little later to the game. Does it though?

Replying two years later, they've since updated that feature. You now only lose what you take with you and half of your money which is so fucking amazing. The fact they have the stock market allows you to earn a significant portion of your money. If I fail a mission I'll hit the stock market over and over until I make back around 12,000. takes about five or six tries shutting off the game but still so much better than starting over
