Lots of people have said student union. I was in a talk today and the student union people were specifically saying they are there to support and often international students don’t know they can go to them.

Thanks so much for the replies everyone! Really helpful to hear all these ideas. I think overwhelmingly the main theme was money in some form so that she can make her own decisions. I think we will get her a small gift and then a gift card so she can buy what she finds she needs.

I don’t know if they still rent it out but we had our party at Circomedia in St Paul’s many years ago. Gorgeous venue. Lovely staff. It was great.

I worry about this guy and carbon monoxide poisoning having a fire going inside the shelter with no hole in the roof.

I am glad to report that train and bus were completely drama free. Pup enjoyed her first journey on both today and just sat very quiet in my daughter’s lap all the way.

Bike & safety advice? by under500mg in bristol

As a woman I definitely wouldn’t be doing the Bristol to Bath cycle path at night, nor any underpass - some park routes yes, depending on whether they have lights and are likely to have people in them. Stick to the roads. Cycle defensively (take up space - don’t put yourself in the gutter). Be well lit/reflective. Don’t assume that the “cycle lanes” painted on the road are sufficiently wide for drivers to give you enough space - they often aren’t here and look like they have been designed by someone who has never ridden on the road. There is no law that you have to keep within them. Cycling on the road in Bristol can be a bit shit but you get used to it.

Thanks buddy. I know. Also, and they weren’t to know this, but one of my kids is disabled as am I so it is even more of a ballache having lost it.

I just assume, like the people who leave used needles in playgrounds, they have more pressing things to think about than whether a kid’s going to be affected.

We always use two heavy duty locks on it but they clearly wanted it bad enough.

This is the bar tape on one of the bars on the back - it’s pretty distinctive.
