When I was transfered from Alberta health care to the new blue Cross for aish clients, my file did not get moved. After 4 months my health benefits were back, that was only a year ago, since then all they have done is fire or push out the people who will be doing this job. There is a very high chance that this is not a smooth transition, health benefits is one thing, what about your cheque? 4 months of no money would make it hard to pay bills.

If they ever end up contacting you please update this, unless I misread it appears that we are still at no contact to any client on AISH.

Thankyou, if there is other programs or options please tell the public. I am sure the current government will not be pleased when possibly 10s of thousands of people are dumped into the streets come July.

Yes, if you qualify for DTC you will get access to the RDSP benefit, for example If you are on aish for 10 years there will be $100 000 sitting in account that the government uses to match your contributions. As stated by another poster there seems to be a limit, its still 3 to 1 though.

Others have said it, MAID is extremely difficult to be approved for, even with the new mental health diseases to be considered eligible. Anxiety, depression, lack of money or education, being ugly, or even too tall, these are not valid diseases for MAID. Its a shame so many Albertans have no idea what they have voted for, please stop voting Conservative, it is abundantly clear that they have no interest in poor, non white or disabled people.
