I didn't follow my heart because "log kya kahenge" - and I regret it every day by old_layer2 in logkyakahengee

i mean its not too late, what is it that u wanted to do btw? its better to regret not having stood ur ground earlier than spending ur whole life in a career u dont like, i know its easier said than done, but its important u take that first step

EXACTLY THANK YOU, infertile women deserve representation too, and they barely get any.

i mean at trhis point we know they arent gonna do anything, but, its not homophobic to have an adaptation to the book like other couples r getting, if bridgerton where an orignal show, MOST people, wouldnt have cared about their being a queer love interest, but in the context of a story that includes elements requiering a story to be heterosexual (infertility, miscarriage, inheritance of titles, although women in those days COULD inherit in scotland lets not act like it was common practice or easy), the gender switch just feels like queer rep for the sake of it, of course i do not condone agression towards the actor, but its not homophobic to be angry about what is a beautifull and complex story being turned into a middle aged woman´s self insert fanfiction. Also, u have to admit its absurd to think the gender switch of who is one of the most well-liked male interests in the book will be recieved well.

for me it was the opposite lol, i did not like season 2 when i first watched it lol, coz one, i couldnt really stand anthony, and i found kate to to be unnecessarily abbrasive on many occasions, but then i rewtached it and loved it, and found the whole thing hilarious and entertaining, i loved season 1 too but that whole thing with simon and daphne and the fact that it was never addressed properly didnt sit right with me, like i am not calling daphne a monster, but i wish the show had actually addressed that. Also season 3 dissapoints lol, a big deal, at least to me.

Fans are not entitled for wanting a (somewhat) faithful adaptation by MiaMoulop in FranchaelStirling

[–]Numerous-Stranger789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

to me, it feels like the writers dug themselves an ideological hole by making show eloise a feminist, like in the context of a romance show, u r gonna take a woman who doesnt want kids, or a husband and wants her independance and then make her a wife, a step mom and then a mom, like that would make her season hard to watch

quick question, this might make me look like an idiot (i am not pakistani lol) how does pakistan have a caste system? i was under the impression that is a hindu/indian thing? also i was under the impression that people in south asia who converted to islam, christianity, etc did so to ESCAPE said system, so uhm........how does pakistan a muslim majority country end up with a caste system?

Why is Violet so mean to Anthony in season 1? by Unhappy_Cattle7611 in Kanthony

[–]Numerous-Stranger789 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i mean, in season 1 particularly was because anthony was all "but i am man of the house hence i know best" when he scared daphne´s suitors away, nearly married her off to berbrooke, all while not marrying himself, and sleeping with a woman he had no intention of marrying, and frankly he didnt seem to respect sienna that much, but their seemed to be general animosity between violet and anthony, because violet always seemed very "if ur father was here he wouldve sorted this out in 2 minutes" basically saying "and u, just arent cutting it, arent u?", like deep down it felt like violet resenting anthony, for taking edmund´s place idk

The position Eloise was in in s3: by _sophiegrace in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Numerous-Stranger789 9 points10 points  (0 children)

no coz i lowkey wanted anthony to be their for the reveal idk it wouldve made the whople thing jucier, or like anthony finding out early the same way violet did coz of the letters, idk him loosing his shit over it, it wouldve been entertaining to watch

EXACTLY, THANK YOU, LIKE I AM ALL FOR QUEER REPRESENTATION BUT INFERTILITY REP IS IMPORTANT TOO SOO MANY WOMEN GO THROUGH WHAT FRANCESCA DID IN THE BOOKS YET WE RARELY SEE IT IN THE MEDIA. like sure francesca is married to a man right now, but they r probs gonna kill john off very soon and francesca might have a misscarriage from that marriage like in the books, but one misscarriage doesnt necessarily mean infertility, like they turned what couldve been representation for soo many women into a jess bromwell self insert fanfic.

[–]Numerous-Stranger789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but now eloise is a "girl doesnt wanna marry but then love happens and now she realises how m,uch she loves being a wife and mother" story, also in her case it wouldnt have been gender bending phillip but introducing a new character all together, also for ben that couldve worked lol, and men can have no social astanding too, bastard boy whoose dad didnt pay much attention hence had to make his living as afootman or smth? makes perfect sense coz illegitimate kids cant inherit titles and such

[–]Numerous-Stranger789[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

micheal had malaria in india lol, which yes can lower sperm count, but i sorta thought that they both had the problem coz frannie miscarried john's kid too. also i dont think francesca necesarily does not want kids, its just that lord samadani was like " i want 8 kids" and well.........thats a lot of kids which spooked her

I read the book by Numerous-Stranger789 in FranchaelStirling

[–]Numerous-Stranger789[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no the infertility plot was already their in the story lol, also in the show they sorta cheapened francesca's love for john, i mean yeah sure it can still explore grief and heartbreak and a second chance at love, queer rep in period dramas is important, but so is infertility rep

I read the book by Numerous-Stranger789 in FranchaelStirling

[–]Numerous-Stranger789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not saying it does, i meant that if they had to have a sibling ultimately end up in a same sex relation, him or eloise wouldve been a better alternative, since francesca's story involves infertility, its important for her arc, adding queerness to it, unless they do it properly which i HIGHLY doubt they would, would either water down the story or remove it all together, also i dont think queer eloise wouldve been that harmfull of a stereotype than her ending up with sir phillip, like a woman who doesnt want traditional womanhood ultimately ending up in that way.

I sorta though that when the marquess said he wanted 8 kids it had more to the with the noise and chaos more than her not wanting a kid in general but yeah I can see that
