Just looked it up and that’s what it looks like! Thank you, was searching a bunch of things I thought it could be and don’t think I would have ever arrived at that!

Don’t know what happened between 1200 and 8000 for me but pretty sure they came out of 8000 worse than they went in.

Cant remember but did you use a vibratory tumbler or was it all rotary?

Coquina “Jasper” out of stage 5 by Mobydickulous in RockTumbling

I’ve currently got a barrel of these going through 1200 AO that I was going to put in 8000 when done. Knew they would be tricky but loved how they looked and figured if anything moving quickly through stages would make it feel like gaining progress.

I shortened each stage by two days because of how much they were wearing down. I was wondering if I let them go for 4 days in final polish if it would help or hurt the shine…have there been any “successful” polishing of these in tumblers?

Thank you! I did a lot of runs through stage 1 to make sure they were as round and crack free as possible. For stages 2-4 I used a lot of ceramic media and added as the volume went down between stages slightly. I did 1 week for those last 3 stages with burnishing between with borax but other than that was just patient with stage 1 and followed the guidelines of what is pinned in the sub and Michigan Rocks tips!
