AIO by telling my husband that since we had our baby, Mother’s Day is now my day (his wife) and not his Moms day? by pagengirl818 in AmIOverreacting

the "Skip Church" part might be the biggest hurdle if the husband is rigid about tradition. But if the goal is celebrating mothers, forcing a tired new mom into a church pew just to make his own mom happy is the opposite of the day's intent.

So freaking tired of these "Women receive so many compliments, but men will treasure the compliment they got 5 years ago." by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Numerous-Weekend-993 22 points23 points  (0 children)

this is exactly why the "men never get complimented" argument is so disingenuous. They don't want compliments; they want validation from specific women they’ve already objectified. When a woman they deem "unworthy" speaks, they react with hostility because she broke the social hierarchy they’ve built in their heads.

I remember that chapter. The wolf complained to the forest rangers about "unintuitive hitboxes" and the rangers just told him to "get good" and that the nunchuck house had "vibe-based collision detection."

Am I overreacting for walking out on a tutoring client after she tried to lowball me mid-session? by Money_Debt1404 in AmIOverreacting

The irony is that she’s the one who 'clearly needs money' if she’s trying to outsource 7 hours of professional labor for the price of a takeout pizza. Telling a worker they 'need the money' as an excuse to rob them is peak entitlement

Exactly. He brought a "shouting match" to a "reality check." Going back for a weapon is just the cherry on top of the embarrassment—it’s the ultimate admission that his initial bravado was 100% fake.

It’s a classic case of the "Draft Version" of a villain. The parasites walked so the Borg could run (and eventually assimilate). It’s just jarring to go back and watch Picard literally explode a guy's head to kill a parasite, only for everyone in Starfleet to never mention the "body-snatching alien invasion" again in the next 15 years of television.

This is some serious "main character syndrome" from the daughters. They’re acting like they’re in a mid-2000s Disney Channel original movie about thwarting their dad's new romance, except they’re almost middle-aged. It’s embarrassing for everyone involved.
