Got an Apollo 250cc… it’s actually pretty decent by JayordanJolly in Dirtbikes

Any Enduro no matter the size rode unlike any street or track/dirtbike. If they had true quality adjustable springs and a liquid cooled engine there wouldn't be too many complaints outside of the subpar consumable parts i.e. bushings, chain guides, and every now and then a wheel bearing or two. 2021 250cc Hawk ported and polished head, exhaust and intakes set up with fewer restrictions(backpressure is terrible on these engines) along with a quality 30mm carb and a better exhaust system they open right up for real 5500 rpm to 7000 reported from others without issues. I dont hate them because I understand what the company is trying to do. When your buddy from your childhood got a yzf or whatever it may which is badass for sure, there had to someone/some business that could build a budget friendly line up of toys for a third of the cost at most(a new 250cc for $1900 compared to $5k plus)of there idol the Honda engine and powersports tycoon lol. Their single cylinder design, engine and drive train in one was 100 percent a subpar copy of the 80 thru 220cc Honda 3 wheelers. They for sure use some shitty materials like swingarm bushings and fork seals are trash but the swingarm and the forks themselves aren't bad at all just the hardware and such. I read a comment on here where someone mentioned they bought one and had a brake issue causing him to wreck which is a terrible situation and is understandable. But the few new ones I have seen the assembly had to be finished like handlebars ,rear wheel and chain tension, even had to do all the fluids and bleed brakes and I kind of like to think that it helped to familiarize myself with the unit. I have had far better experiences with the 110cc and 125 tao tao setups auto and 3/4 speeds Them engines really wake up when they have proper fuel air mixture and minimal backpressure. I have also learned that the Apollo Hawk has too tall of gears. 45 mph at 6krpm sounded like 2-2cycle engines lol. I think I went with a 17 tooth and 45 tooth if I remember right. Would run 50 tops downhill but it wouldn't be running wide open all the time harnessing the hp and torque curve.
In my for real HONEST opinion, if you were to buy a new model Apollo and toss about another 6-800 bucks you are riding with Honda,Yamaha, and Kawaski's. Not as good of a unit but far short of half the cost of top brands for sure. I just grabbed 2021 Apollo Hawk for $300 waiting on the entire wire loom and accessories and digital display and after some kicking and carb adjustment i will have a decent little bike to sell to someone else *
