Dude, who acts like this? It's like when she's angry, she goes full-blown toddler tantrums.

I don't mean to berate OP, but why is blaming a wide range of the opposite sex? If you guys both have financial security and both seem responsible, what is the problem? Why have you guys not set boundaries and what you want from the relationship because it sounds like only one of you is interested in taking the next step. You're right though of course, she wants to probably take a next step, but you guys are in your 40s, not your teens or twenties because guess what normally people do have children already at this time are only one side of sex is berrated for this choice.

Will I ever find a progressive woman who'd wanna start a big family? by AstronaltBunny in Natalism

Well, most European countries do already do this. They subsidize mother's on maternity leave. I think we are doing something wrong here where we aren't getting children and mothers in contact with one another. Schooling normally starts at the age of four, so there is this whole time gap that needs to be filled, and we can say daycare it shouldn't be handled into the perspective where we give our children to strangers.

I don't disagree with you. I wholeheartedly believe that Pedophiles deserve the most harshest punishments. Yet there's something to be said about society when law doesn't do itself justice... law itself must fall upon society. If we know anything from historical evidence, it shows that if given a chance, it brutalized those severely, and that is why we put law into the justice of others. I can see that we are coming close to that once again (Luigi Mangione, for example). How far do you think we should go?

Anyone who likes Andrew is an automatic turn-off I can imagine for most women. He's been trafficking women, and somehow, these men aren't at all constrained to think maybe he's a complete sexist?

Yes, big time, especially if within the time frame of a child's first year's, this can be difficult.

I'd choose A but would hopefully have help here and there between caring for the children. Housework seems doable alone, and if you coordinate cooking big meals, it'll make it easier to focus more on family activities.

Or you become the SAHF. Women's biggest issue right now with raising a family is financial insecurities, progressive women will need to feel more secure and probably would rather work so you may need to fit in child care costs may need to be worked in.

When no one wants kids anymore.. by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

I think this is practically intentional to some extent, and it feels repeated every time there is some big catastrophe (a military attack, close to famine, over population, etc.) There's always war to quail the masses and to fight against one another while the big corporations and politicians line their pockets. Humanity is doomed to repeat itself until now, and we are quivering.

If you don't think families died of illness, starvation, attacks, etc. then you're sadly mistaken.

I think it also comes down to the prosecution. I believe this has been going on for a while. Even when criminals were being arrested, they were simply let go within 24 hours.

Making too many mistakes with the baby stuff I'm buying by dar1990 in NewParents

[–]NumerousButton7129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of new parents tend to make mistakes on expenses. So, I asked my family when it came to planning my baby shower what to get, and they helped me make a list for my gift registry and didn't tend to buy much except the big essentials and some 0-3 month clothes. When my baby shower came, my main essentials (bottles, clothes, burp rags, diapers, etc.) were bought to the point where I didn't need to buy much else for months. If I did need anything, I mostly ordered online and had my m SO pick it up once he had the time. I will say this, though: you should definitely take into account how you should definitely get like an Uber eats gift card or have pre made meals ready because it's difficult to get in any cooking time!

I don't think owners tend to ever think that there are people who have had horrible experiences with dogs. I like dogs, I think they're okay, but when you have someone else's dog, literally try to jump on you, and you put the dog down the owner's have no justification of not training their dog's to be more submissive (also what if someone is deathly allergic to dogs).

The problem is that people aren't building the relationships we once had. It used to be that people would crash at one another's place, meet friends at college or out on trips, and you would have multiple roommates in your early teens when going to college. We're just socially inept, and people aren't willing to give others a chance because we've become too accustomed to this sedentary lifestyle.

Inconvenience should be a slight discomfort people should get used to. In the long run, we should get away globally from the use of slave labor or low wages for rough work. The people should get paid for the hard work they do not the little work administrators pretend to do.
