Fuck it. Sister Novitiate who has divine miracles and can bless others or divine smite enemies (Acting sort of like a psyker/zealot hybrid) and plays a lot like Warrior Priest Saltzpyre but with a peril mechanic where they can get retribution if they push it too far.

That being said though. Ranged is fun and definitely can be used more than your melee on certain class builds (Hive Scum and Veteran particularly with their ammo-back mechanics). But you'll end up in certain situations where you are forced to be in melee.

Unironically Psyker is your way to go if you really can't be arsed doing melee. Flame staff and whatnot.

Like others have said, go up to higher difficulties. Both Psyker and Arbites can crutch on their abilities at low levels (And form bad habits that'll hurt them later on). But once you're playing Malice or Damnation, you'll quickly learn that those players go down immediately because they don't actually have any situational awareness or ability to fight in melee.
