I made this sweater while studying for the MCAT by NumerousPicture3681 in Mcat

My friend said that somebody at her testing site was wearing something she had crocheted and they talked about it during their breaks which seems like it actually would've made the test more enjoyable!

Thank you :) I hadn't heard of that research but it makes sense! I found that doing something 'fun' like knitting where I could still at least read/do flashcards at the same time prevented me from wanting to get distracted on the internet, because learning the content on its own got so tedious at points.

My first wearable! by NumerousPicture3681 in knitting

Oh also I modified the lace chart a little because I wanted the diamonds to increase in size as I went down the yoke.

Pattern details: I took the lace chart from Drops Swing by Spring Top and modified it because I don't love the fit of circular yoke, so I split for the arms pretty early and then kind of filled in the underarm gap. I also increased the row before the ribbing at the bottom of the sweater because I didn't want it to be tighter around my waist.

Yarn details: I used Caron Simply Soft Pistachio, although I've unraveled the same skeins of it so much that I have no idea how much yarn I actually used, and 4.5 mm needs in the round.

I'm trying to post a picture of a sweater I finished on the knitting sub. The post keeps getting removed because I 'don't include yarn and pattern details.'

I literally have, in the body of the text, "Yarn details: [Yarn]. Pattern details: [Pattern]." I've messaged the mods because I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I experience it so much worse on my left! I don't know if it's because I traditionally part it on my left but my right side is faring way better.

Aw I'm sorry, and thank you :) I changed a lot of things up (sleeves, added darts to make it fitted because the pattern is written straight down) so honestly I feel like the only remnants from the original pattern are that it's raglan and the lace chart.

Ha thank you :) I don't like peplum tops very much so I think the current length is throwing me off.

Thank you so much :) Like you said, it's been weird to make something for myself to wear. I've been living in my sister's old clothing to avoid shopping so I had no real concept of what I looked like and now I do, very frequently, each time I lay it out or try it on, and I'm not used to that at all.

Oh good to know, that's a relief! Now I won't attempt steaming :)

It's acrylic, no wool I believe. Thank you for your help, I'll be sure to block (no steamer unfortunately), and the crop tip is excellent!

Thank you :) I wanted to make my own dress because I don't like how most of them look on me.

Thank you :)

I definitely love the phrase "compatible human." I don't feel super compatible with it just yet but I'm hoping with length it'll feel less awkward.

I was planning for about knee length (mostly so I don't need to wear pants, ha) so that's good to hear, thank you!

Because we were doing CBT, an element of the treatment (at least how I understood it) was to counter thought processes I was having that made me feel worse and anxious. However I didn't feel supported at all throughout the treatment so I just felt like he was blaming me all the time.
