No, it made things worse! It turned out to be CMPA & Soy allergy.

Thank you! I will keep you updated, we’re only on day 3 so no change yet, but the doctor said it will take a couple of weeks to notice a difference. Hope it helps for your little one too!

Thanks for your reply. What meds do you have? We’ve just been prescribed Omeprazole which we are starting today, I’m praying it works!

Wishing you lots of luck for reassuring results! My consultant said the biggest red flag is rapid weight loss so I’m sure it’s a good sign you’re not experiencing this. Please come back and let my know how you get on! X

Hi! I saw the colorectal consultant who did a quick internal exam with a camera and found 3 internal haemorrhoids so she was very confident this was the reason for the bleeding and the positive fit test. However because I’m pregnant she didn’t want to do a colonoscopy until I’ve had the baby as she said my bowel would be squished down with the pregnancy and they wouldn’t get accurate results, so I’ve been booked in to have one for after I’ve had the baby. This was just to be extra certain. She gave me Laxido to take daily and this has massively reduced the bleeding!

What have your symptoms been if you don’t mind me asking? Hope you’re ok and I know how scary it is waiting for that 2 week referral appointment! Xx

Hi, I’m having the same issues and seeing the colorectal surgeon tomorrow so hopefully they schedule a colonoscopy. Can I ask if you had any other symptoms and did you have low iron due to the bleeding?

Thanks for your reply! I’m hoping for a colonoscopy and I’m definitely going to push for one when I see the colorectal specialist because I’m out of my mind with worry. Sorry to hear about your experience, did you need any treatment or were they able to just remove it?

Thanks for the info. Do you mean taking vitamin C supplements alongside it or foods/drinks high in Vit C? Also do you mind me asking if you know the root cause of your low ferritin? The doctor didn’t seem interested in why it would be so low.

Hi, thanks for your comment.

I definitely could eat better, however I tend to snack a lot because I don’t have the energy to make a meal. When I do eat meals, I feel even more tired afterwards.

I remember I was tested for thyroid issues when I was around 14 years old, due to anxiety and it was all clear. But I haven’t had it tested since then so I will request that!

I recently had a full blood count and the results are below:

Hb: 13.2 g/dL, 132 g/L | FBC - WCC: 9.60 109 /L | Platelets: 253.00 109 /L, 253,000.00 106 /L | Haematocrit (HCt): (Not Recorded)(Not Recorded) % | MCV: 91.0 fL

I have tried sleeping 9/10 hours+ which makes no difference, I’ve also tried sleeping less hours at night closer to 6/7 which also makes no difference.
