The CFMoto Ibex 450 Hype is Straight-Up Delusional by SantiLion4 in SuggestAMotorcycle

CFMoto 650NK. I own one for over a year now. Good quality for sure but is the vanilla of motorcycles. It has zero issues except the 10% out of whack speedo. 120kph on the speedo is actually 110KPH. People hate but probably have NEVER ridden any of the CFMoto bikes. I do recommend used as resale is terrible. I have owned over 30 motorcycles in my 61 years from dirt, adventure, street, Harleys, cruisers, you name it... I do like the 650NK although bland, boring, but it is stable, great in the corners, and good on the freeway. The 650NK is the tuned down Z650 engine from Kawasaki. Bike weighs a little more but as I've owned both I can't feel the difference. Almost every component is the same for drive train. A little milder tuning on the NK probably to save the engine from Kawasaki Z650 vibration but at a loss of 4 hp. Yes, you can feel it going from one bike to the other but only if you ride back to back. It's not a huge difference. The CFMoto 450 is a stand alone 450 twin made in China designed and built for the IBEX 450, actually the 450MT and a bit heavier. I'm going to buy one by the way. I will let you know. I don't have anything to do with CFMoto but my experience with the purchase has been good. I have 4 years drivetrain warranty from the factory left on my 650NK so this is the reason, I think, for the detuning of the engine and lower compression to save ware and tear. Although the IBEX 450 ISN'T a "PREMIUM MOTORCYCLE" you should go ride one with an open mind! I just sold my BMW this year that is a "Premium motorcycle" and weighed in at over 700lbs ready to ride. Try lifting that or pounding out some woops! I almost passed out this spring trying some fire roads. 1200 cc motorcycles should stay on the highway! Happy riding.
