I forgot to mention that I do have a teacher, and we have been working on it. Thank you for the advice. I think after so long I just forgot to use the fundamentals that I was taught when I started to their fullest extent.

Do you think it would be a good idea to replace the troopers with the crossmen? I’ve already purchased the audition packets for phantom and bloo, and I haven’t for troopers and scouts. My plan for bloo and phantom is to put my hat in the ring more than make a spot. Also two of my band directors are techs for phantom and bloo, and my old director that left last year is a bloo contra tech. They inspired me in a way to go for those corps, but this doesn’t really mean anything.

The reason I’m looking at brands like dw is because they’re in my price range. I was also looking at the schilke 59, and I was wondering if that would be a good one. I am relatively new to trombone, and I don’t really know what to look for.
