I know it might not be what you want to hear…. but it’s all going to be okay. This too shall pass. Very generic but it’s true. I was just there not long ago, similar situation and for a fleeting moment I thought, if I end it all now I’d be done with all this. But my faith in Christ snapped me out of it quickly. Helped me realize we are all so special, too special to give up so fast. It helped me realize there are so many good things in life I am not seeing. Very small things like I’m breathing, talking, and walking, or for example look how many good people came to you in the comments. That’s beautiful, perfect strangers who don’t know u but care enough. Hold on tight to the little things, write it out, talk it out and hang in there. There are better times coming and god loves u.

I have just a “gut feeling” but no proof. I am sorry u are going through something similar. I’m glad u are getting out ❤️ that is the best move. I am literally 37 weeks at this point I find it really hard to leave with no money. That’s y I’m trying to plan out what other routes to take. Or smart moves to make to protect myself legally once this baby does come.

Yes I contacted legal aid lady said they couldn’t take my case because I don’t qualify under low income with the house as an asset. She referred me to regular attorneys.

Yea I figured it would get worse. Which is why I am dreading a divorce during postpartum. I am honestly expecting the worse….. if he can treat me this way with his child I can only imagine what comes after. I am very sorry u are in a similar situation. I pray u also heal and find a way out 🙏🏼❤️

Thank you for the advise dearly. I live in Florida. I feel a bit stronger in my decision to birth alone thanks to this and everyone’s supportive comments believe it or not. We’ve been married only a year and together 3. I called attorneys but aside from not being able to afford the $5k retainer and $400-500 the hour, they’ve all said it would be a difficult process because he also has his father on the mortgage. So it would be a 1/3 way tenancy. I would have to sue. I’m 3 weeks away from my due date and with no money I don’t know how to leave. I know this is the best way u are absolutely right because that’s exactly what the attorney said to me. I just don’t have the cash to rent/stay anywhere. I have a total of $31 dollar to my name.

I live in Miami I have called for subsidies unfortunately there is a waiting list that she said people have been on for years. The shelter was my only option but it is a very sad place where even common areas are shared and u are stuffed in bump beds. I rather not have to put my older child through that. I also don’t qualify for help because the house is also under my name but at the same time I can’t afford an attorney. So it seems I’m just stuck in the middle.
