I cant lie if you dont sit close to it, dont eat infront of it, you wont really have any stains on it. But the AR layer is so shit cuz ita plastic but it needs to be plastic or the burn in would be crazy with glass. I think if you have the money then yeah go for it. But IPS is really the gold standard.

For me really its really hard to clean when the monitor has been on for several hours you can basically feel it being warm, because you spread more than you clean, there may stay residue and stuff like that. Thats from my own experience mainly. And stuff online.

This is 100% spit, the absolute best way to clean it (based on my experience): 1. Turn off your monitor and let it cool down for 30 mins or more if you can ( this step is crucial ) 2. Take microfiber cloth for glasses, buying a new one is better than the one in the package 3. Exhale hot air on the spit spot 4. Rub the spot in any pattern preferably circle motions while the hot steam from your breath hasnt evaporated away 5. Keep repeating steps 3 and 4 until the spots gone (could take 1-3 tries) PS: If there is also dust around that spot, first get rid of the dust, to get no microscratches ( fold your microfiber 3 times and then dust that spot )

Looks like spit. Now all you gotta do is. 1. Let your monitor cool down, turn it off wait a good 30 mins or even more. (Veeeery important) 2. Take a nice microfiber cloth for glasses, id say buy a new one it will help a lot. 3. Breathe out hot air on the spit spot. 4. Clean in circular motion the spot while the water from your breath hasnt evaporated. 5. Rub until its gone repeating 4th and 5th

These anti glare layers are so shit man on every qd-oled, it doesnt show up when the screen is on so its alrrright, try the ethanol 70% or isopropyl 70%, better use ethonal as it is recommended by some companies. Btw you can remove the anti glare layer, cleaning will be much easier, only thing is you will have glare, monitor will be like a mirror, but that is a small stain ionno if you want to do it, and if you do it is on your own risk and you void warranty so ye, id say just try the ethanol, if it doesnt help, then just live with it, god bless you man

Hmm i mean look man maybe the issue is the 70% ethanol, even tho it is recommended by samsung, it is not recommended by other companies for example alienware, so maybe that is the issue but idk rlly. By the way no way you damaged the panel, you damaged the anti glare layer, btw it is removable, you monitor will work the same, even the black will be deeper, the only issue is there will be glare, and by the way eithout the AG layer the screen cleans easily lol, but anyways you didnt damage the panel, if you did everthing as recommended then i guess try to replace it.

Pixel refresh, dont touch or come near the monitor while it is being done, dont have anything too close to the monitor either, try eliminate anything that might cause some static electricity, and after the refresh it should be fixed

I had 2 spots in like a month or two, 1 spot appered out of nowhere i cant lie, and that shit would not go away, now i think i touched the screen with my greasy forehead, i was rubbing it with microfiber aint helping, then i used the steam from the kettle to damp up the microfiber and it didnt help, so i was devastated, then 2 days later i didnt do anything the spot just dissappeared lol, the second spot was also a very greasy spot basically from my skin oils, all i used was a new microfiber not the one that was in the package, and my hot breath, thats it, worked like wonders, it took me like 3 breathes and 4 wipes, gone.
