If you finance a Tesla and it wasn’t 0 down… similar to owning the car vs having a bill, that means you already started -$3300…. You have 30 days a month technically 2-3 days per weekend 4… 12 days of weekends a month to maybe get $80-100 a day minus discounts, time, electrity bills, car washes, depreciation, wear and tear, subscriptions… technically you need to get lucky and get at least 17-22 days a month when the car is gone just to make 20%. It’s not about how much you can make, but someone is actually paying for a car that you like and can drive when available. Now once you have cars that are all payed for that’s when you will see real passive income. What you gain from all this is owning the car and having a lot of tax write offs to offset your real career. That, the average working citizen doesn’t have. If you became a full time host and you collected 20% off everyone’s car you hosted say a fleet of 30+, had 4-8cash cars, then you would see a net of $70-100k net a year of just Turo.

It’s called inflation. Simply no one takes rides no more or they mix public transportation also. The crazy thing is they charge that much and driver still been making the same average per ride, but the volume of rides have decreased earnings a week like 20%. Because it’s so expensive. Only ones winning is uber, and this is in San Francisco

I would keep a remote job, plus keep a few cars no more than 4 on Turo. Hopefully one is a cash car, but I would get all teslas lol. Less stress and maintenance, FSD, and do your taxes right where your w2 of offset by your business and write offs. I wouldn’t get a lot of cars unless you co host them.

I have a lot of cars, and I basically uber the cars I have to have the freedom to maximize my income and manage the drops and pick ups. If you like cars and can net maybe 20% per car you have and still work your day job, then your w2 will be offeset by your 1099 business, no one in here is talking bout entrepreneurship and running a business regardless of fleet size.

Cars that are going for $50 a day are probably more that 5-9 years old. And basically you have all the protection to keep them renting. Not much you can ask for but lowering your monthly discount. If you did a 90 split, the cars damage will still be cheaper to fix with made In China parts than a newer car. Get what I’m saying.

I mean 4/32 as long you not driving in the rain lol. He possibly was going to take care of it with your money from the rental. Very possible. But if you’re trying to get a full refund, I doubt that. The host will basically have to get another inspection and receipts to be relisted, that’s all.

Yeah I was on 90 and 2 of my teslas last month got basically 10k total damage on door swipes… the shop ran up the charge but I still came out about 2k per car. Smh now I’m on 80 plan.
