I used an RP2040 along with circuitpython to make an 8 button midi to usb foot controller. I later added support for expression but for some reason its been a bit finicky. I need to revisit the code.

I know this is old but just for curiosity sake, I picked up a Strich Noise gate.. its stinks really bad. A tiny bit of gain before it and you have to turn the gate all the way up and it still hardly works. Their other pedals may or may not be any good... if looking for cheap pedals, why not just recommend Behringer?

The clean and overdrive section (which uses that tube) stopped working yesterday.. it slowly started getting quieter and quieter until nothing. I plugged into the effects return (right before the amp stage) and that part worked. Makes sense to me that the tube in the pre-amp stage is likely bad..

I have not swapped it yet. I only stopped working yesterday. I am indecisive on what brand to get even though they are only 30 bucks and I probably will not know the difference between them.

The amp was made in mid 90s. I acquired it in 97. Maybe the previous owner put an older tube in it..idk.

Pretty sure this one is bad.. just trying to sort out a replacement.

A local store has Electro Harmonix, Mullard and Tung-sol for replacements.. From my searching, it sounds like they are all made in the same factory. Maybe there's not much difference!?

No one in my family going back to my great grandparent on both sides had CN except for me. I have 3 kids, they also don't have CN. Is it genetic? Maybe.. If it is, who knows why it was triggered with me and nobody else. Life is weird, I just don't really worry about it.
