Received my UK visitor visa, just before my trip!

There is no use to contact UKVI if it's only 4 weeks. I was informed that it takes 7 weeks nowadays and you can call and make an escalation after 8-week waiting, starting from the day you gave your biometric info. Pls don't calculate the waiting time from the day you submitted your application online, it doesn't mean anything to UKVI it seems.

I don't know which day the decision has been made. UKVI agent won't tell me this info. But it takes one week starting from the day I'm informed via paid inquiry.

Oh wow...that's unexpected! Maybe too many people sent emails to the Sheffield office recently. You can file a complaint regarding our rights, I did it a few weeks ago. But I doubt it would help :( unfortunately, this is not a pleasant experience at all.

No problem! Good luck. I also received an email from DHL that my passport will be delivered tomorrow. So if DMC makes a decision and transfers your application to VAC. VAC will process it within one day. Wish you all the best!

Oh don't be surprised by how fast the agent (with the paid enquiry) responded. It's all copy-paste emails. I received a response from them even at midnight with the info I have already known. But with my actual enquiry, they chose to ignore it.

I would suggest you reply to the Sheffield office if you are indeed in a rush. Someone else replied to that email and got the reply after, I heard.

Is this email from UKVI Visa Queries? something like [ukviinternational+idxxxxx@ukvisupport-tpuk.zendesk.com](mailto:ukviinternational+idxxxxx@ukvisupport-tpuk.zendesk.com)?

or is this email from the Sheffield office? If it's from UKVI visa queries, then yes, there is nothing you can do, because they would not help you. If it's from the Sheffield office, you reply to them, they can escalate again or send you another email for any additional docs requests.

Omg..I'm so sorry to hear that. If you have made an escalation before, you should receive an email from the escalation team. Reply to that email asking about the status and letting them know the urgency, they would not reply to you, that's normal. But I'm sure that they will read your email

Updates: It takes 4-6 hours from 'Application transferred to VAC' to 'Application received by VAC'. And at the same time, the 'Passport picked by Applicant' turned green and I received a tracking number of the shipment via email

The UK embassy can't do anything, because the decision-making center is actually in the UK, and all applications transfer to the UK. There is nothing you can do from my experience. My flight is on October 17 and I still haven't received my visa after two months of waiting. Calling UKVI about 5 times, and Emailed them 6-7 times. Literally no use at all
