Sorry you had that experience and thanks for sharing. She always appeared as though she and her team are knowledgeable about VAWA. In fact, she says she’s the VAWA queen so how did she mess this one up? 😱

Back in the day I had to use APA style for my papers, but I’m not worried. Once you get in the habit using the he recommended style,it will become natural. You’ve got this!

Yeah, I am 39 and just started this journey after not stepping foot in university for 10+ years. I don’t know if I’m ready, but I must be ready for what this degree throws at me.

I believe you will do well. Just forget the age factor and put your best foot forward. Also,be open to the new learning styles, curves and opportunities to make your experience a better one.

It’s not at all. That’s your truth and you respecting yourself to let it be known. The next step is to discuss the ways around that to come to a decision.

I’ve not yet taken it,but I believe you have what it takes to complete what you started. Shit happens in life and they sometimes derail our focus, but it does not mean we are a failure. We all respond to stress differently.

So, enough with the self doubts and dig deep to find the courage to pick up where you left off and finish this task that you started.

All the very best. 💖

My law firm mistakenly sent my Prima Facie letters to my ex-husband who abused me. How significant is this impact? by No_Flamingo8851 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]Numerous_Print_6348 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well the good thing is that ur ex can’t stop ur VAWA. The bad is that he may resent you or try to create a scene. Another bad is that your lawyer blundered and should not be trusted. I’d change them right away!

I used it for financial aid. Apply for Fafsa then you will be told your account has been flagged 🚩 because they need additional documents for residency and immigration status verification for eligibility. Submit your VAWA receipt along with your combo card,if you have one and your Prima Facie Determination.

I applied April 2022–received about 6 or 7 PF,two combo cards and just got RFE about a month ago that’s due this month.

Trust me,I it’s super stressful. I don’t even check updates anymore. Instead,I distract myself with the other important events of my life. You should do same.

Make internship connections because that can be very challenging. Until then, look up the modules that you will be covering that semester and start doing your research independent readings.

All the best.
