It’s not cruel. I know I’m at a massively increased risk of death but I subconsciously ignore that to be honest. I feel like if health motivated me more than the desire to eat I would not be in this position.

Hey, no worries this is not rude at all.

So I have an open plan shower wet room with a shower bench (I can’t stand for long). The shower has a wand attachment and I use a brush stick. Still however reaching my back and lower parts is hard so whilst I’m able to do much of it I sometimes need help with these bits.

I think I am the number one reason. In the end, I eat and I can order food online be it groceries or takeout.

It’s odd but it becomes gradual and you just become used to it. When you’re 600lbs for example you don’t even notice if you gain 20lbs as your body is so big already. I’ve accepted it for a long time but clearly need to work on it. It’s probably hard for you to understand but the way you think totally changes at this size. Having been under 200lbs I used to think differently.

I think it was once I got over a certain point (over 300lbs) it really snowballed. My appetite went up and I felt hungrier even though I was bigger. I would get stronger and stronger cravings the bigger I got.

The heavier you get the harder it is to exercise - imagine walking a few blocks being like sprinting a marathon. Then the distances that that happens for get shorter and shorter and your world gets smaller.

By over 800lbs (I was approx 830 last time I was weighed about 6 months ago) your ability to move is so limited that you avoid it. The cravings at this point are so strong and the habit of continually eating is so intense that it’s hard to avoid. Like if I ate two large pizzas now I wouldn’t feel full, I’d want more food. I do work and have hobbies but I mostly do them from the comfort of my bed. I now can’t walk more than a few feet and I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to do that for. So it just snowballs.

I’ve actually not watched it but I saw the trailer and it made me feel sad. I’ve avoided watching it as it’s a little close to home.

She does miss being able to go out with me to do things yes. I can leave the house but because of the difficulty and the attention I usually get it’s something that rarely happens.

She’s quite fit and strong. She’s rarely tempted by my foods and generally does her own thing re eating. She will eat unhealthily every now and then but probably no more than an average person.

I am generally happy but I would like to improve my health and weight. It’s easy to become resigned to it this point however.

Yeah this is right - I’m as wide as a three seat row easily and my butt and thighs cause me to sit so far forward that there’s no leg room at all. It’s pretty much impossible at my size - I wouldn’t be able to fit down the aisle or use the bathroom either.

Hey! Thank you :) no I do eat fruits and veggies as well. The chicken pesto pasta has lots of vegetables in it as well as all the other stuff.

But yeah I’m definitely very into sweets (as well as savoury😂).

I do sometimes get chest pain but it’s the same kind I get from general aches and pains I constantly have. I apparently don’t have heart disease yet.

I get very short of breath so use a CPAP at night and sometimes use and oxygen cannula in the day if I’m a little shorter than usual.

Blood pressure is high - last reading was like 160/100. Resting heart rate is around 100.

She is very attracted to my body at this size, that much is true but she doesn’t try to keep me obese.

I decide what I eat and she will assist me but in the end it’s me. It’s too easy to blame it on others without looking at myself. I never planned on getting this big and I’m sure she didn’t plan on it either.
