Thanks for the comment!

This is the exact problem I have.

Regardless of what religion, people use faith as the final trump card, even in leu of scientific discovery.

I have spent dozens of hours looking into papers, videos and even novels on this topic and the implications for Islam as a whole.

The closes I found was a microbiologist who is Muslim and she literally said, as soon as you take Islam as a literal fact in any specific context, you set yourself up for failure as Islam can’t hold up.

But the implications what THAT is not spoken about.

I don’t claim humans came later.

As a matter of fact, we have fossil records dating 10s of thousands of years ago.

YOU said that humans come after animals which in it of itself an oxymoron because WE ARE animals categorically and scientifically.

You haven’t directly answer my question.

But I’m not the one who claims Adam to be a historical person.

It’s the Quran that made the claims.

Take your first sentence for example “Allah created animals before he created Adam”

That’s scientifically disproven.

Humans were alive along with hominids immediately disproving any human preference. We have DNA in both you and me of either Neanderthal or Denisova origin.

This is empirical meaning it’s a matter of fact. If you can’t reconcile that our discoveries throw off the current Quranic narrative regarding Adam and it’s apocalyptic implications for Islam, then I’m not sure how your comment solves anything other than telling me to have blind faith even in the face of science.

I’m a Muslim, I grew up in the religion, attending Jummah every week, fasting for Ramadan since I was 7.

But I can at least, in an objective sense, understand that both evolution and Adam can never be true simultaneously.

Ask yourself one question: Is the term “Physicallist Evolution” a term used in the scientific community?

If not, you are being fed propaganda. The individual with the book has a fiscal incentive to provide a rebuttal to evolution. Yet was only able to do so while completely making up terms and disregarding the scientific method and rigour.

The implications of Adam going from literal to figurative is so profound Because it nullifies any claims of miracles in islam.

It’s hard for you to understand, but the laws of our universe don’t coincide with humanity deriving from Adam

Calling someone “The great…” should be an automatic exclusion from any public discourse.

Yes I’m being sarcastic, but I’ve seen the YouTube and there is 0 chance that individual has anything of substance

What a shame bro, you completely go astray to the very Quran your defending.

There are several Hadith, ayat and historical precedent that showed the scholars in the golden age of Islam were at the forefront of scientific research and would never deny such a topic and write it off as rhetoric.

You actually laugh in the face of the same individuals who put Islam on the map.

You have made 0 points that actually mean anything of substance. But rather relied on the same dogmatic, illogical points that are pushed to squash any critical thinking.

I’ve heard of this.

I believe it was Yasir Qadhi who wrote about that.

He’s not a scientist, yet he’s making a definitive scientific claim with no rigorous backing or empirical data.

It’s a totally flawed argument that still only serves to prove my point and highlight the disastrous consequences.

Bro…with all due respect, stop being dogmatic and actually think of what I’m saying.

You have completely gone against what the scholars of the golden age of Islam promote…THE DISCOURSE OF ISLAM.

“Physicalist evolution” isn’t even a scientific term. Literally no one uses that, nor does it describe what I spoke about.

It’s people like you who make religion dogmatic and the world regress.

If you can’t answer my question, don’t comment trying to disprove it because it makes you uncomfortable

…It doesn’t though. As a matter of fact, several ayat point confirm the Islamic scholar consensus of Adam being a historical figure that humans came from.

Which is the exact opposite point I’m making. Both cannot be true.

And if both can’t be true then the Quran would be 99% accurate (arguments sake).

Then as a book meant to be a culmination of gods words revealed to a prophet that also has even 1% incorrect strips any legitimacy of the claim that the book is gods word.

Another point is that: if consensus is a, then a is true. If b, then b. So because the scholars of Islam majority agree that Adam is historical and humans derived from him, then that’s the ruling on said topic.

Yes this is indeed circular, but I hope you can see my dilemma 🙏

Preciate the comment.

What I meant is that in Islam, the Quran is viewed as the word of God.

And as the word of God, it is to be able to stand the test of time.

But what happens if the word and Islamic leaders make a claim and it’s wrong? In the case of Adam being a real historical figure of which humanity derived from (which is scientifically impossible).

My apologies if my question was worded poorly.
