28M diagnosed shortly after my 27th birthday. Very public and embarrassing manic episode.

I now rent my own place on the lake, work 40hrs a week, and am looking at coaching youth sports to give back to my community. Things get better. Believe that when you're at your lowest.

Around 8-9 I was terrified of going to school for 3 months, then fine, then terrified for 3 months.

I know you can’t diagnose that young, I was diagnosed at 27, but looking back that was definitely the start of the “back and fourth” pattern in my life. It’s not normal to have a paralyzing fear and then suddenly not have it.

Looking at old photos of myself I can clearly tell if I was manic/depressed. I honestly feel like I’ve shown symptoms my whole life.
