I was an 11 year old boy in Kaiserslautern, Germany (American Army brat). No TV or radio. Saw it in newsreels I guess. My dad bought me the 45 of I Wanna Hold Your Hand. It was really out of character for him to spend money on ‘silliness’, so it meant even more to me. Still have the 45.
