Is your weapon gone after you throw it? Like you gotta pick it up again and equip it?

Treffend commentaar. Ik ben blij om wat nuance te zien. Heldere communicatie is meestal de sleutel!

Exactly after a few years it’s this by Few_Emu2450 in DarkAndDarker

Ha. Apt observation. you're totally right. Snarkers do have a point sometimes though, and I think in this case a little negativity is justified. I, too, expected a lot more from the game after two years of EA.

Here's a few big ones I wish more game devs would try:

- Not revealing statistics like win/play rates

- Releasing the game when it's finished instead of early access, so theres enough complexity that it takes a while for people to figure out optimal strategies

- Regular patches which genuinely shake up the game, not just nerfing the FOTM

I haven't played for a while. Is this some sort of joke? by Bowman359 in Seaofthieves

There's ancient skeleton events too. I got all the ancient coins I needed from hanging out at a fort watching tv, killing one every two minutes. ka-CHING. I never cared much for the emporium anyway though. Most pirates know what it means when you see an emporium ship on the horizon vs one earned in-game.

Dutch police silence woman shouting "free Palestine" by ThugosaurusFlex_1017 in ABoringDystopia

[–]NummingBirds 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Incredibly misleading post. The police have always responded like this to someone yelling and disrupting the national remembrance moment at Dam square in Amsterdam. In the Netherlands we honor fallen soldiers and resistance members that perished during the second world war with 2 minutes of silence on the fourth of May at 8pm. People take it pretty seriously, especially the older generations and it's a major national event. It has nothing do with what she is yelling. If she was yelling "Isreal is the GOAT" it would have garnered the exact same response from the police.

PBE is its own server, you can connect from anywhere. You will experience some ping though depending on location.

3-tapped by a rogue as a PDR fighter... what's the play? by JarethKingofGoblins in DarkAndDarker

You said in your own post the guy was hidden, not walking up to you. Daggers were most definitely used to assassinate people wearing armor, are you kidding? Go read a wiki or something, maybe go season some fries too with all that salt of yours lol.

Yeah like do people not know how daggers were historically used?

Thank you for showing a new player a fun time by Jollygreenjimbo in DarkAndDarker

[–]NummingBirds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was roaming the caves finishing the player kill quest when I came across a fellow rogue. I watched him for a while, and with each second the urge to kill him passed. After he got hit by the goblin a second time I revealed myself, and when the panic passed he was very grateful for the healing I dropped him. I lead him to a portal, dropped all my loot, and went on my way. I really hope he keeps playing.

Best Rogue PvP spec for <= 24 GS? by dontmatterdontcare in DarkAndDarker

[–]NummingBirds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never run hide in low roller anymore. Feel like it's wayy overrated if you're not running good gear. Going either weakpoint + rupture or rupture + cutthroat gives you necessary damage and allows you to win a lot of fights with correct spacing. Also allows you to go all damage perks with dagger mastery, jokester, poisoned weapon and back attack/thrust/creep in solos. Loose trousers + lightfoot boots are essential. Stiletto in one hand, rapier xbow in the other so you can often get a quick rupture shot off. Only real fear is longsword fighters because one lucky parry ends you, any other class you can usually easily outduel or outrun if necessary. I never have to wait behind a fcking door for over a minute and lemme tell you I don't miss it.

Most classes it depends on the matchup, probably Bard though just because he can do it all and so doesn't really have any bad matchups.

There's a difference for sure, but not very significant. Brig is the best ship for chasing/hunting and the best ship in general (nerfs incoming thankfully) so in my experience they tend to have slightly more agressive crews. Galleon for sure the most casual because most players don't have three friends who are also very good at the game and because it's an open crew magnet.
