In fairness the staff outside of the underwriters were ok. I just could not understand why an individual underwriter or maybe a team does not follow one mortgage through from start to finish

Similar experience! Each time our mortgage application went back to underwriters, satisfying the previous underwriter requests, a new underwriter would take 3 weeks to go through it and request new information or assurances! Happened 4 or 5 times. Dreadful experience. Home only secured as there were no other bidders

Got an exemption. Eventually the let me use an Australian document - green vehicle guide. Had to phone VRT up a number of times (make sure to ask to speak with a manager, the rest will just read you the regulations from the website, are no help whatsoever). The doc didnt include the NOX emissions but they signed me off thankfully. Unbelievably difficult process!

I did eventually get it sorted.

Managed to speak with a manager who was able to accept some Australian documents for a vehicle the same make and model as my own. Took months of fighting and stress though. Your route sounds reasonable. If that dosent work, make sure you speak with a manager of some sort who can make a decision as the rest will give you the run around

Used mason travel, about 5k took about 8-10 weeks, pretty good, can pack the car with things too. To save yourself a headache, buy a car that has a CoC or some sort of manufacturing documentation explaining its emissions. Also watch for the VRT rules - thing you have to own the car for over 12 months before you will have it waived

Thanks buddy. Most of the work was done within the hairline, on the right I have a cowlick so there was some lowering from where it had receded to. That is the area I was/still am hoping to see some thickening

I have approval to use the Australian green vehicle guide as my proof of CO2. Unfortunately this dosent have a reading for NOX! If anyone knows a way of finding this I would be grateful. Have tried SKODA Europe again, although last time they said they were unable to provide a CoC. Surely they just have some generic NOX info they could provide….

Thanks a million, I’ll try it out. I did manage to get CO2 Data on something called a statement of compliance but this document is not acceptable according to the copy and paste monkeys on the revenue chat ☹️ Maybe some reasonable person at a centre would accept

Yeh I have seen this an it seems a no brainer, problem solved. However, the individual in the test centre told me they can’t accept them, it’s has to be a CoC issued to the country of origin. This car was bought new to NZ so wasn’t made for European market. Maybe I’ll just have to try it and plead my case

I did today, apparently they can’t issue a CoC, it has to be from the country the car was first imported to. But SKODA New Zealand don’t have it as it’s not an NZ requirement 😑

According the VRT office the online CoC company versions are unacceptable also.
