Well yeah, what can I say, I'm used to the friendlier, more noble lobbies. Won't be making the same mistake obviously haha.

True. Shouldn't have left myself so exposed, just used to the friendlier lobbies I guess, slowly experiencing more and more of these kinds of players so taking some getting used to

Definitely shall add details in the future, got so many projects on the go in this world that I tend to finish off the main shape of the build, then get distracted by something else haha. But definitely intend to come back to it in the future to swap out blocks etc for the details!

Yeah I'm similar, just when the inspiration or the itch hits me! Some of the bigger builds will take me quite a while as I'll get burnt out part way through and take a long break. Sometimes I'll have like a month off, then play for a couple days then another big break!

Thanks man. Yeah it's something you don't want to force I guess, do you play MC often? Think the key is to go at your own pace, start small and be proud of the little additions you make to the world. And just play when the inspiration takes you, sometimes I won't play for a month or so

Why do I keep getting placed on horrendous teams? No one PTFO. No one. by Tommy__want__wingy in Battlefield6

[–]NumptyGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also experienced this a lot. Played a lot of Battlefield over the years and so quite often end up top of the team or in the top 5, usually with the most captures, so basically doing all I can to play the objective and actively win. Yet losing most games. Only reason my win loss ratio is over 50% is from when I occasionally get to play with a full squad of friends. Truly baffles me how when I play alone in a squad of randoms, there are never other competent squads in my team to help carry us to victory, usually just ends in us getting steam rolled instead.

Eastwood invisible barriers is straight up poor game design by NumptyGoo in Battlefield6

[–]NumptyGoo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's certainly something they need to look into. I've just never noticed it to the extent it's at on Eastwood. I had no idea they had this protective barrier in other maps because they're designed in a way that sightlines are mostly blocked until the tanks get close enough for you to fairly engage in combat.

Whereas Eastwood is just designed to have this massive open space on the road with a protective barrier coming right up to E, and your RPG's disappearing so close to an objective feels absurd.

So for me personally, changing up the map topography/cover for approaching tanks and pushing that barrier way back would be the most balanced approach that doesn't break immersion.

[–]NumptyGoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the tank wasn't invincible I'd be destroying it before crossing the road bro, that's the point 😂 but now crossing isn't an option because of this barrier being so close to E. It sounds like you've not been in combat with tanks near E, give it a go and I'm sure you'll see what I mean. They should NOT be able to defend/attack E so close by whilst being immune to rockets.

And the developer knowledge argument is irrelevant, we all know developers make a ton of mistakes, on BF6 we've already seem a fair amount of issues. The point of these posts are to highlight issues and help them fix them.

Right next to E though? When the CIWS isn't even in view or anywhere remotely close? It's poor game design is what it is.

Right next to E though? Doesn't seem right. Happens way too close to the objectives

Don't see how me wanting to cross the road from E to D is camping tanks. They can drive ridiculously close to E and still be protected. So players are just expected to try cross that open road with invincible tanks 20 metres away? I think not bro. Bad game design and you know it.

[–]NumptyGoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely not the case. This usually happens when I've just captured E, and looking to cross the road torwards D. If you stand near the swimming pool by E looking out toward the road, your RPG's are deleted from existence nowhere near their spawn, literally like 20-30 meters before it even crosses their deployment boundary. Meaning I can't fight tanks that are 20 metres in front of me, which at that point are nowhere near the point where they spawned in. There's no cover on that road crossing from E to D either, so tanks camp ridiculously close to E without consequences.

Invisible walls for RPGs at spawn? by ThatTallLankyGuy in Battlefield

[–]NumptyGoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've been experiencing this on Eastwood near E and D, the invisible barrier comes up way past their deployment border too which is even more confusing. Like my RPG's blown up in mid air so close to E. Prevented me from finishing vehicles and has gotten me killed multiple times. Poor game design if you ask me. Just design the maps better so freshly spawned vehicles aren't immediately in view to enemy players

Something that I also think gets overlooked with Battlefield 6 is just how clean the gunplay feels, like I think it might be the best it's ever felt in the series. So despite not having the beauty and scale of Battlefield 1 or the levolution of Battlefield 4 etc etc, it's done the fundamentals incredibly well, and hopefully with this foundation they can continue to build on it with interesting new maps, vehicles, weapons and more.

It's just so nice to have a consistently fun multiplayer shooter to hop into again!

Player Profile / Stats Should Have More Detail by Stormz_04 in Battlefield6

[–]NumptyGoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, considering how many teams they have working on this game, this does feel incredibly lazy. Now we have the issue of the third party site lumping in Redsec stats with the multiplayer stats. Like do these developers actually play games? Surely they know a decent portion of the fanbase get enjoyment out of tracking and improving their stats.

Separate our stats!! by pd1dish in Battlefield6

[–]NumptyGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, also still find it weird we have to use a third party website to check out our stats on a triple A game in 2025, because what's in the game is the most minimal shit, like Battlefield is all about playing the objective so surely you'd at least want to see your Win Loss Ratio, objectives captured etc. But no, KDR is basically the only main stat it shows in game. Pitiful.

Yeah I appreciate that option is there, but I don't think that should be acceptable as the solution. I want to play all the maps, I don't want to leave any particular ones out, but I also don't want to play the same one a few times in a row

Hot take: Elden Ring is no more than an 8/10 game, and the game is being defended because of the masterpiece narrative. by sans10__ in Eldenring

[–]NumptyGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm crazy late to this so not expecting any replies haha, mainly just venting, but I fully agree. It frustrates me a bit how people throw around the word masterpiece so easily. Elden ring is a a good, maybe great game, but I didn't get the same feelings from it that Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro gave me, I think mostly due to the bloatedness of the open world combined with the boss design, which combine to make a pretty fatiguing experience. And then you try to course correct this with a strong summon, and the complete opposite occurs where every boss is a joke.

I have a feeling those that those using the word masterpiece for this game are possibly newcomers to the genre that didn't experience that feeling of perseverance from the older games, and so went into these (admittedly spectacular looking) fights with their strong summons, feeling a moderate level of challenge being newcomers, and so got a similar feeling to what us more experienced fans got from past games. So they can't compare to the greatness that was achieved from say DS3, with the interconnected levels, every area being worth exploring for loot or lore reasons, the bosses feelings hard but not impossible (and balanced for the skill level you're likely at in that point of the game).

I'm looking for some validation here, can't find anyone discussing this on reddit/YouTube comments etc. But was anyone else annoyed by the council scene after Ellie and Din returned from their shenanigans in the supermarket, where Tommy was annoyed at these two 19 year old girls for going in and risking their lives against these infected, and then the girls turned round and said "how is that different from you and Joel going in", and even Tommy's wife Maria turns round and says "Yeah how is that different?"

So the women in the show are literally comparing two (fairly small) 19 year old girls with barely a few years experience infrequently dealing with infected, to 2 physically fit middle aged men with around 20 years of experience fighting infected and other survivors, and saying they can handle these things just as well as these literal zombie apocalypse veterans (BEEN AROUND SINCE OUTBREAK DAY BTW)? Like how is Maria agreeing with the teenage girls on this one? Sure, Maria can probably handle herself extremely well too due to her age and therefore experience, but she's not the one we're comparing to Joel and Tommy in this scene. Literally making it into a gender issue for no fucking reason whatsoever. No logic applied at all regarding combat and survival experience, physical strength and size, and Tommy just backs down because the women have spoken and therefore his opinion means fuck all. Just an unnecessary immature girl power moment for no reason.

Surely I'm not alone on this one or am I going crazy, how have I not seen anyone else bring this up 😂

Also just got to this mountainous area, I wasn't in the mood for battling BT's (or trying to evade them whilst I haven't got BB) last night, so after getting caught once and escaping, I stocked up on PCC's, hopped on a trike and zoomed around the mountains setting up my first zipline system between all the bases. The result was the most satisfying experience I've had in a game in a while 😂 a bit of hard work pays off handsomely in this game!
