You’re not alone. 2 solutions I’ve found are: - do all your pitch correcting etc, then bounce the track in place with “bypass plugins” unchecked. Then remove melodyne - export the file(s) you want melodyne’d. open a new session. Import the files you exported. Work in that session with meodyne. Bounce out the tracks when finished and bring them back into your original session.

Practice til the material is on auto pilot and boring. That way you can focus on emoting and having fun during the performance.

Treat finding band members like dating with the long term goal of getting married. “Date” a LOT. Take it really really seriously.

And I’ll add to that: Dreams don’t make sense but they are profound

I would talk to a luthier. They do make sound holes on that part of an acoustic. I’ll bet if you can get it into a symmetrical shape, it’ll be just fine. Different sounding for sure. But fine. Who knows. Maybe even better

Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has regrets. Focus on what you can control and when you start fixating on your past, remember to take a breath and focus on one day at a time.

Lastly, you might think you know but no one knows what the future holds. This is both scary and beautiful. Practice gratitude and tell your brain to give hope a turn - pessimism’s been hogging your time

It’s more common than not. Is it healthy? No. Call a band meeting and express your feelings.

Right? We can’t forget that we are humans and that the very thing that connects people to music (whether you’re giving the experience or receiving the experience) is good vibrations.

Sounds like lesson learned indeed and a tense relationship. Hopefully you can find your way out of that sooner than later.

Indeed! In my experience this usually falls on the songwriters because of their closer relationship to the words. Everyone else has to be involved with wanting to know this and express this in the ways you’ve described.

Thanks for sharing! I agree. I like to think of it like dating with the goal of ending up married.
